A new leak from Honkai: Star Rail is showing off concept art for the rumored playable version of Sunday, currently expected to release during the second half of the Penacony cycle. The debut of the HoYoverse sci-fi RPG's newest world saw plenty of new characters introduced as part of the main story of Penacony, with several already becoming fan-favorite additions to the roster. Powerful characters like Acheron, Sparkle, and Firefly have made a major impact on the game's meta, while others have seen popularity for their in-universe roles. However, fans are still waiting for one beloved member of the cast.
Sunday found instant appeal among Honkai: Star Rail fans when he was first shown to players at the beginning of Penacony's story in Version 2.0. Sunday is introduced as the leader of Penacony's Oak Family and serves as one of the main members of Penacony's cast. Players would even come into conflict with Sunday throughout the progression of the newest world's arc, with Sunday serving as one of the world's "Echo of War" bosses. Now, his rumored playable form is once again being teased through leaks.

Honkai: Star Rail Leaks Sunday Concept Art
A recent leak shared by prominent Honkai: Star Rail leaker Seele Leaks is showing off a new piece of concept art for Sunday's playable version. The art showcases several of the previously rumored changes expected to come as a part of Sunday's playable re-design, swapping out his white pants for a dark blue with long boots. The concept art also features a re-design to Sunday's jacket, featuring a multicolored motif that is half-white and half-dark blue. Sunday is currently rumored to be making his playable debut in Honkai: Star Rail with the Version 2.7 update.
While little is still known about Sunday's eventual release in Honkai: Star Rail, leaks have begun to tease early information about the character. Early leaks for Sunday have suggested that he will debut as an Imaginary Harmony character within Star Rail, boasting the same combination as the newest Trailblazer variant. Sunday's introduction as an Imaginary element character will join multiple characters in the same element released in recent updates, including Aventurine, March 7th's new form, and the Penacony Trailblazer.
Sunday's rumored release in Honkai: Star Rail is set to follow a plethora of new characters from the Xianzhou Luofu coming soon. Honkai: Star Rail's Version 2.4 will debut two new five-star characters from the Xianzhou Luofu in Jiaoqiu and Yunli, alongside the previously mentioned March 7th variant. Version 2.5 has also seen its featured cast already revealed as well, with Feixiao and Lingsha coming as five-star characters and Moze as a new four-star unit. Fans of Sunday will likely have to wait a while with plenty more exciting characters on the way from Honkai: Star Rail.
