A recent leak from Honkai: Star Rail is teasing a new Simulated Universe event set to debut with Version 1.6, showing off snippets of its gameplay. The launch of Honkai: Star Rail offered many different ways for players to experience the sci-fi RPG's universe throughout its variety of game modes. Alongside the main story, players have been treated to multiple different game modes, including management mini-games like "Aurum Alley's Hustle and Bustle" and the Pokemon-inspired "Aetherium Wars." However, arguably the most popular feature of the game has been the Simulated Universe.
The Simulated Universe has been one of Honkai: Star Rail's most popular and well-supported game modes since its release. The roguelike challenge created by in-game character Herta has received multiple updates since the game's launch, adding new Curios, new Worlds to clear, and even a new Path for players to choose. The game mode was also the focus of Star Rail's Version 1.3 update, with the "Swarm Disaster" event adding an entirely new challenge mode for players to tackle. Now, the Simulated Universe is set to be the star of another event in Version 1.6.
A new batch of leaks shared on the Honkai: Star Rail leaks subreddit has revealed images of the "Nous Update" to the Simulated Universe in Version 1.6. The new challenge features a meter that players will be able to fill through completing different rooms, with their path forward determined by their current score in the event. The leak also teases new character Argenti's appearance as a major boss within the update, after previously debuting as an in-game boss during Version 1.5. Honkai: Star Rail's Version 1.6 is currently expected to release in late December.
The newest event for Honkai: Star Rail's popular game mode isn't the only update reportedly coming to the Simulated Universe with Version 1.6. Previous leaks have revealed a collection of new Curios coming to Honkai: Star Rail with the launch of the new update, including multiple new "Negative Curios" and a potential dice re-roll mechanic. Update 1.5 also previously added the eighth challengeable World to the Simulated Universe, featuring Yanqing as the World's final boss.
With the Simulated Universe set to be a focus for Honkai: Star Rail in Version 1.6, the update's new characters will feature one of the other creators of the project. The 1.6 update will feature Ruan Mei as a new Ice Harmony character, having created the in-game Simulated Universe alongside fellow Genius Society member Herta. Dr. Ratio will also appear as a five-star character from the rival Intelligentsia Guild, alongside the Xianzhou Luofu's Xueyi as a new four-star character. Fans of Honkai: Star Rail's Simulated Universe should have plenty to look forward to with the upcoming launch of Version 1.6.
