A new leak from Honkai: Star Rail is teasing the special buff players will be able to utilize during Version 3.3's cycle of the "Memory of Chaos" game mode. The HoYoverse sci-fi RPG features a wide variety of different endgame challenges for players to tackle, ranging from pure tests of players' characters to unique combat setups. "Apocalyptic Shadow" pits players against powered-up versions of some of the game's toughest bosses, while "Pure Fiction" prioritizes quickly clearing waves of smaller enemies. However, one particular combat challenge has been around since the game's inception.

Memory of Chaos serves as one of Honkai: Star Rail's longest-running endgame challenges, with parallels to past HoYoverse games as well. The game mode tasks players with battling curated stages of increasingly powerful enemies, often with shifting weaknesses and lineups to incorporate the game's newest characters and enemies. Memory of Chaos operates very similarly to Genshin Impact's Spiral Abyss as well, featuring rotating buffs to encourage players to build around certain Elements and characters. Now, a new leak is hinting at a particularly powerful buff for Version 3.3.

Honkai: Star Rail Leaks 3.3 Memory of Chaos Buff

A new leak shared by prominent HoYoverse leaker HomDGCat is revealing the special buff in Version 3.3's Memory of Chaos. According to the leak, Version 3.3's "Memory Turbulence" buff will specifically benefit the first character in the player's team, granting them the "Blessing of Floral Candles and Skyborne Feathers" effect at the start of each cycle. The unique buff introduces some powerful extra damage, with each instance of damage dealt also applying some extra True Damage based on a percentage of the original total. The buff also specifically mentions that the damage boost does not apply to Memosprites for Remembrance characters.

  • Memory Turbulence: At the end of every Cycle, the first character in the team lineup receives Blessing of Floral Candles and Skyborne Feathers, lasting some turns, not including Memorpsrites.
    • Blessing of Floral Candles and Skyborne Feathers: For every instance of DMG dealt, additionally deals True DMG equal to a percentage of the original DMG.

The leaked buff for Honkai: Star Rail's 3.3 Memory of Chaos sets up a major shift from its recent releases. The exclusion of Memosprites could dissuade players from using Remembrance characters during the cycle, despite HoYoverse releasing several Remembrance units during Amphoreus. HoYoverse has already released three Remembrance characters through Version 3.1, including the Remembrance Trailblazer, with a fourth on the way in Castorice. Honkai: Star Rail's Version 3.3 is currently expected to launch in mid-May.

Honkai: Star Rail looks to be bringing plenty more to the table with the game's second anniversary on the way soon. Version 3.2 will officially kick off the annual festivities for the sci-fi RPG with a plethora of login rewards coming, ranging from free Stellar Jades and Star Rail Special Passes to unique new events. HoYoverse will also reportedly be adding a new way for players to pick up five-star characters in Honkai: Star Rail, with a special shop using a unique new currency. Between new characters, login rewards, and much more coming, Honkai: Star Rail has lots to celebrate for its second birthday.
