A recent leak from Honkai: Star Rail could be dropping a major hint at a new type of enemy set to be added to the game in the future. The smash-hit sci-fi RPG from HoYoverse features a wide variety of ways for players to test their skills and team-building against some of the game's most powerful enemies. The game includes several different forms of endgame challenges, including Memory of Chaos as a gauntlet of powerful enemies and Pure Fiction focusing heavily around how fast players can clear waves of opponents. Now, a brand-new type of enemy may be coming soon.
While Honkai: Star Rail features several different forms of endgame content, the RPG's overworld has noticeably lacked powerful overworld enemies. Many of Star Rail's strongest enemies are locked behind the various endgame modes, limited to the highest floors of each challenge. HoYoverse has introduced some powered-up enemies through the Apocalyptic Shadow game mode, though they are limited to the game's pre-existing Weekly Bosses. However, a new update may indicate some powerful overworld foes are on the way.
Honkai: Star Rail Leak Hints at Blade Buffs in Version 3.4
New leaks from Honkai: Star Rail are hinting at several buffs for Stellaron Hunter Blade, set to launch during the game's Version 3.4 update.
Honkai: Star Rail May Be Adding New Enemies
A recent leak shared by prominent HoYoverse leaker Sakura Haven is potentially teasing a new enemy type coming to Honkai: Star Rail. According to the leak, the most recent update to the game's beta features some new data referencing "Local Legends" being added to the game. While the data did not specify what the Local Legends would be, the name suggests that Star Rail may be introducing a powerful new form of overworld enemy, similar to Genshin Impact's Local Legend enemies. The update did not specify when the first Local Legends would be added to Honkai: Star Rail.
The introduction of Local Legends would see a popular endgame enemy subtype from the developer's previous game making the jump to Star Rail. First introduced in Genshin Impact's Fontaine, Local Legends enemies have appeared throughout the game's past two regions, as well as a Local Legend retroactively added to the Liyue region. Local Legends serve as some of the toughest challenges in Genshin Impact's overworld, both boasting staggering HP totals and dealing massive damage to unprepared players.
Honkai: Star Rail's new Local Legends are just part of an exciting slate of content for the sci-fi RPG in the near future. Version 3.2 kicked off the game's anniversary celebrations with a plethora of rewards for players, as well as two new characters in Castorice and Anaxa. Rumors have also heavily suggested that Star Rail's long-awaited crossover with Fate/Stay Night could be launching as soon as the Version 3.4 update. Between new characters and potential new enemies coming soon, Honkai: Star Rail has lots in store for the game's legions of fans.
