New leaks from Honkai: Star Rail have teased the first look at a batch of brand-new enemies planned to be added to the game with its next playable world, Penacony. Throughout the first few patches for the massively popular HoYoverse RPG, players have been introduced to a wide variety of enemies. From the soldiers of the Antimatter Legion invading the Herta Space Station to the icy beasts roaming Jarilo-IV, the game has already shown off a wealth of sci-fi creatures to battle. Now, the first teasers are coming out for the enemies of the game's next world.
While HoYoverse has yet to reveal any official details about Honkai: Star Rail's next world, leaks and interviews have already begun to tease the third full in-game world. An interview from earlier this year would reveal Penacony as the name of the next world players will visit during their journey aboard the Astral Express. Leaks and rumors have teased Penacony as a vibrant world themed around a mix of the U.S. And France from the late 1800s and early 1900s. Now, leaks are giving a first look at Penacony's lineup of enemies.
A new image shared by Honkai: Star Rail leaker HertaStation has revealed five enemies players will encounter within Penacony. Several designs for Penacony's enemies seem to take heavy steampunk inspirations with both a bulky clockwork robot and a mechanical dog among the featured creatures. Penacony also looks to sport multiple smaller floating enemies, including a robotic imp holding a large die and a floating mask. A bulky crystalline figure with arms and legs rounds out the group of five, sporting a uniquely non-mechanical appearance compared to its Penacony counterparts.
While not much is known about Penacony beyond its few leaks, the France-inspired world is one of several other locations teased to come to Honkai: Star Rail in the future. The introduction of Silver Wolf in Version 1.1 would tease her homeworld of Punklorde as a futuristic metropolis. Other worlds like Genius Society member Screwllum's homeworld of Planet Screwllum and five-star character Kafka's home on Pteruges-V have also been hinted at through in-game lore. No release window has been given for Penacony's introduction to Honkai: Star Rail.
New teasers about Honkai: Star Rail's next world come as the RPG gears up to move into the second half of its Version 1.3 update. Version 1.3's second half is set to bring two new characters to the game's limited gacha banner, with five-star Preservation character Fu Xuan joined by four-star character Lynx. The second half will also feature the new Space Station Task Force event, featuring missions similar to the game's Assignment System. With new characters and new worlds on the way, Honkai: Star Rail fans have plenty to look forward to for the game's future.
Honkai: Star Rail is available now for PC and mobile devices with a PS5 version launching on October 11.
