A new Honkai: Star Rail leak has revealed extensive information about the new five-star character Mydei, who is expected to join the roster soon. Honkai: Star Rail has already unveiled Mydei's official introduction and splash art, which is HoYoverse's typical method of announcing new roster additions.
Mydei is not the only five-star character announced for Honkai: Star Rail 3.1. The game's social media accounts also introduced Tribbie, a mysterious character with multiple personalities. HoYoverse previously confirmed that Mydei will follow the Path of Destruction, a role usually reserved for strong DPS characters with decent survivability.

Although Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0 has not yet arrived, a new set of leaks has disclosed more information about Mydei, the five-star character confirmed for update 3.1. According to a post on the Honkai: Star Rail Leaks subreddit, Mydei's Skill will make him consume his HP and deal Imaginary damage to multiple targets, scaling with his max HP. Mydei's Ultimate also has a similar effect as it makes him restore a portion of his HP and deal increased damage to a group of enemies. Mydei's kit will rely on his Blood for Blood Talent, which makes him enter the Vendetta state. During this state, Mydei becomes immune to Crowd Control debuffs and significantly increases his Max HP.

According to previous leaks, Mydei's damage output could even surpass Feixiao, who is widely regarded as one of the best DPS units in Honkai: Star Rail. The leaker also hinted that Mydei will feature a transformation mechanic in his kit, which could significantly enhance his overall damage potential. Even though rumors suggested that Mydei's kit would benefit from having other Imaginary characters in his team, the beta data debunked these leaks.
At present, there is limited official information about Mydei beyond the details in his official Honkai: Star Rail introduction. This announcement revealed that the character, also known as Mydemius, is the prince of the mist-shrouded city of Kremnos. He is a powerful warrior who must endure countless deaths to challenge the gods, ascend beyond his mortal abilities, and reclaim his homeland.
