Honkai: Star Rail Leak Details New Gacha Banner
A new post shared to the Honkai: Star Rail leaks subreddit via prominent leaker StepLeaks is detailing Star Rail's newest gacha banner. According to the leak, the "self select" banner will run during one half of Version 2.5, with players able to switch between the three featured characters at any time during the banner's run. The post confirms that pity will be transferred between the three characters, allowing players to pivot while not losing their progress towards a guaranteed five-star character. Honkai: Star Rail's Version 2.5 is expected to debut on September 10.
Star Rail's new "self select" banner will not be the first time HoYoverse has experimented with giving players a choice in its gacha banners. Genshin Impact debuted the "Chronicled Wish" banner during Version 4.5, allowing players to choose a Mondstadt character to be featured in the special gacha during the update. Honkai Impact 3rd also offers a similar system with its "EXPA" gacha banners, granting a similar option to hand-pick featured characters. HoYoverse has yet to officially announce Honkai: Star Rail's newest gacha banner.
