A recent Honkai: Star Rail leak is hinting at the gameplay for upcoming Fate/Stay Night collaboration characters Saber and Archer, teasing how the two new characters will play. HoYoverse finally lifted the veil for the sci-fi RPG's highly-anticipated first crossover earlier this month, confirming two new characters will be coming with the collaboration. Two of the Fate franchise's most iconic characters will be joining Honkai: Star Rail's playable cast during Version 3.4, introducing both Saber and Archer. Now, new leaks are giving a better idea of how each character will play.

While HoYoverse has shown little of how Honkai: Star Rail's new characters will play, the developer did share some early teasers with the crossover's reveal. Each character saw their Element and Path revealed during the official teaser, with Saber debuting as a Wind Destruction unit and Archer as a Quantum Hunt character. Honkai: Star Rail also briefly showed what is expected to be Saber's Ultimate during the presentation, utilizing her Noble Phantasm to deal heavy damage. Honkai: Star Rail Leak Teases Saber and Archer's Gameplay

A recent leak shared by prominent HoYoverse leaker Shiroha is teasing how Saber and Archer will play in Honkai: Star Rail. Archer is expected to debut as a DPS character, given his alignment with the Hunt Path, reportedly focusing heavily around using Skill Points to boost his damage output. Saber, on the other hand, looks to be more reliant on her teammates, with Saber gaining access to an enhanced Skill based on the number of Ultimates used by her allies. Honkai: Star Rail's Fate collab characters will officially join the roster on July 11.

Honkai: Star Rail's long-awaited collaboration with Fate/Stay Night is expected to bring lots more to the game beyond the new characters. Version 3.4 will introduce a brand-new in-game event centered around the "Penaconian Holy Grail War," whisking players back to the sci-fi RPG's previous world. The patch will feature yet another playable character beyond its Fate crossover, with major Amphoreus cast member Phainon finally making his playable debut. Honkai: Star Rail's Version 3.4 is scheduled to launch just over a week before the crossover on July 2.

While fans will still be waiting a couple more months for Honkai: Star Rail's big collaboration, another major Star Rail update is on the way later this week. Version 3.3 will officially launch on Tuesday night, bringing Hyacine to the game as its newest playable character with Cipher coming later in the update. The patch will also include a pair of exciting re-runs alongside its new characters, with Version 3.0 characters The Herta and Aglaea returning to the limited banner. Honkai: Star Rail fans should have lots to look forward to with plenty of exciting characters coming soon.
