Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.4 brings the adventure back to the Xianzhou Luofu as it welcomes the Astral Express Crew and many other visitors for the Luminary Combat Arts Ceremony, also known as the Xianzhou Wardance. Honkai: Star Rail fans will be in for a wild ride, with the challenges and surprises awaiting them in the next update, coming on July 31.
The upcoming Honkai: Star Rail version has major updates for the Xianzhou Luofu and an exciting lineup of banner characters. This will be an exciting arc to experience before Honkai: Star Rail officially launches its next world, Amphoreus.
What to Expect in Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.4
New Characters and Rerun Characters
Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.4 will be the debut of the first set of new playable Xianzhou characters, namely Yunli and Jiaoqiu, who are both 5-star banner characters. Hailing from the Xianzhou Zhuming, Yunli is a Physical-type Destruction character who wields a giant sword and has the ability to counter enemy attacks while dealing significant damage. Meanwhile, Jiaoqiu, a Fire-type Nihility unit, is a military healer using culinary medicine from the Xianzhou Yaoqing, who deals blast damage that burns enemies.
As for the 5-star rerun characters, Huohuo will join Yunli in the first phase of Version 2.4, while Sparkle will return with Jiaoqiu.

- Second phase: Jiaoqiu (Fire, Nihility) and Sparkle (Quantum, Harmony)
Also coming to Version 2.4 is March 7th's new variant, which sees her wielding dual swords as a 4-star Imaginary-type The Hunt character. Apart from being a DPS unit, she can also increase allies' SPD and gain attack charges whenever they deal damage to enemies.

New Signature Light Cones
Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.4 will be launching a new set of Light Cones to complement the new characters' abilities. Yunli's signature 5-star Destruction Light Cone, "Dance at Sunset," increases the odds of the wearer getting hit and also increases CRIT DMG. The second 5-star Light Cone is "Those Many Springs," which is Jiaoqiu's signature Nihility Light Cone, which can increase Effect Hit Rate and damage.
March 7th is also getting a 4-star The Hunt Light Cone called "Poised to Bloom." This increases the wearer's damage and grants extra CRIT DMG to teammates who follow the same Path.
- Dance at Sunset (5-star Destruction): Increases the odds of the wearer getting hit and increases CRIT DMG
- Those Many Springs (5-star Nihility): Increases Effect Hit Rate and damage dealt to enemies
- Poised to Bloom (4-star The Hunt): Increases the wearer's damage and grants increased CRIT DMG to teammates following the same Path
Main Story Mission
With the Astral Express Crew returning to the Xianzhou Luofu, they must uncover more mysteries in the Trailblaze Continuance mission titled "Finest Duel Under the Pristine Blue: Part I." This will follow the Trailblazer and the new Xianzhou characters, including the Version 2.5 banner character, the Xianzhou Yaoqing's Arbiter-General Feixiao, as they battle powerful enemies in the Shackling Prison. Honkai: Star Rail players will have to wait until the update rolls out to experience this exciting quest.
Companion Mission
Companion Missions are officially coming back in Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.4 with "Swords to Plowshares." This will follow Yunli and her grandfather, the Xianzhou Zhuming's Arbiter-General Huaiyan, giving players a glimpse of their relationship and their swordsmanship.
New Map Area
As mentioned, the Shackling Prison will be unlocked in the Xianzhou Luofu. This is where criminals with heinous crimes are taken to be locked up and punished. This area will also introduce new wolf-like enemies, including a boss monster that was teased in the Version 2.4 trailer.
Version 2.4 Events
Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.4 has an exciting slate of limited-time events up ahead. "Saga of Primaveral Blade" will highlight March 7th's swordplay sessions to beat IPC tech. Players can also get a free Imaginary March 7th Eidolon as a reward. Meanwhile, "Operation Memoria Snapshot" and "Trailblaze: Friendship is Magic!" Are both events that feature interactions with magical trashcans.
Of course, Version 2.4 is also giving away free Special Passes for seven days in "Gift of Odyssey." The update will also host "Garden of Plenty" and "Planar Fissure" events that make it easier to farm upgrade materials and Planar Ornaments.
