The Unending Darkness event in Honkai: Star Rail Simulated Universe occurrence is mostly not beneficial. The safest option to take is Fight the pull, where players will lose 50% of their HP, but with no extra risks. As long as players have sufficient Honkai: Star Rail healer, this option shouldn't be an issue. Additionally, the Simulated Universe often has breakable healing objects to help regain HP. If players are in a pinch, they can also use consumables (if conditions are met) or Physical MC's Technique to heal.

In the Divergent Universe in Honkai: Star Rail, there's an option that comes with positive and negative outcomes. The negative likely won't outweigh the positive, but having three extra Curios can be great if players obtain the Honkai: Star Rail Curio that can reroll all the items in the current gameplay.

The only time players will truly benefit from the Unending Darkness event in Honkai: Star Rail is when they're following the Path of Nihility in the Swarm Disaster mode. The Nihility in Honkai: Star Rail is known as an apathetic being who's often depicted as a large dark purple blob. They believe there's no point in existence and everything is worthless. Therefore, it's no surprise that following this Path can actually lead to a positive outcome in the Unending Darkness occurrence in HSR.

Another Path that often comes with unusual outcomes is the Elation. Aha is known to enjoy jokes, and its followers, like those from the Masked Fools, appear to be people who simply thrive in chaos.
