Archer Build Guide In Honkai Star Rail
Archer is a Quantum-Hunt character in Honkai: Star Rail who focuses on unleashing consecutive Skills to deal damage.
1 Phainon + Sunday + Bronya + Robin
It’s important for Phainon to always have characters like Sunday or Bronya in his team. They operate like a battery for Phainon as they keep targeting him for buffs. Eventually, Phainon will cast his Ultimate, and all these buffs will stick around to greatly amplify his attacks. As for Robin, when she casts her Ultimate, she advances the entire team’s action, which will allow Sunday and Bronya to have another rotation to quickly fill Phainon’s Ultimate.
This Phainon team can clear HSR endgame content effectively as long as they don’t suffer from the Skill Points (SP) issue. It can be a problem because of Bronya and Phainon's heavy use of SP. Sunday stays passive as he can regenerate the SP he uses after his Skill, while Robin doesn’t consume a lot of SP, but doesn’t regenerate them either.
Getting an E1 Bronya or her Signature Light Cone solves this problem and allows her to stay SP positive during combat. Players can also replace Robin with Sparkle, who will also operate as a battery for Phainon and constantly refill the team’s Skill Points.

2 Phainon + Sunday + Bronya + Cipher
When creating Phainon teams, he doesn’t always have to match with buffer supports in HSR. Players can pair Phainon with healers like Huohuo or debuffers like Cipher or Jiaoqiu, who will constantly increase the DMG dealt against enemies. Neither Nihility units will help refill Phainon’s Ultimate, but they will still help his DPS. Additionally, both units can constantly generate Skill Points since they don’t depend on their Skill that much. Jiaoqiu will also inflict enemies with DoT that will hurt them over time, while Cipher will record the team DMG, even when Phainon is inside his Ultimate form, and can then unleash a devastating Ultimate attack when Phainon is out of his territory.
Meanwhile, Huohuo is great not only for giving Energy to both Sunday and Bronya, but also because her Skill targets Phainon, allowing her to perform well as Phainon's battery.
Sunday is one of the best characters to pair with Phainon because of his ability to regenerate energy for his target. That will allow Sunday to give Phainon up to three Coreflames in every rotation. Those three stacks alongside Bronya’s two stacks allow Phainon team comp to have the freedom of including characters that can help in other ways.
3 Phainon + Tingyun + Bronya + Lynx
Since Phainon needs a team that targets him with buffs, players can build an F2P team for Phainon in Honkai: Star Rail. Tingyun is an amazing 4-star Harmony character who can also provide three Coreflames for Phainon, just like Sunday. Of course, her buffs are not comparable to 5-star characters in HSR, which is why she’s only considered in Phainon’s F2P team.

Considering there were enough chances to get either Bronya or Ruan Mei for free, they're viable for F2P players. They greatly buff his DMG while regenerating his Ultimate. Finally, Phainon’s teams can also enjoy sustain characters like Lynx, who can operate as a battery for Phainon while healing and protecting the team. Not only that, but Lynx increases the chances of Phainon getting attacked by enemies, which will further regenerate his Ultimate. She’s a great choice for Phainon’s best team comps in HSR.
