Echoes of War in Honkai: Star Rail is equivalent to weekly boss in Genshin Impact. Players can only claim three Echoes of War rewards per week, but the three can be from any boss, so Trailblazers can focus on one material each week.
As an "Echo" of past events, these challenges are only available after Trailblazers fight the enemy in the relevant missions. Additionally, since these enemies play a large role in the lore, they’re naturally harder than the open-world boss. Out of the available weekly bosses in HSR, here are all of them, ranked by difficulties.
Honkai Star Rail Redeem Codes
Stellar Jades is a crucial currency in Honkai: Star Rail as players need them to get new characters in the game.
6 Destruction's Beginning
Doomsday Beast
Doomsday Beast in HSR is the first boss players will encounter in the game. During the attack on the Herta Space Station, players must beat this enemy alongside their Trailblazing companions, such as March 7th and Dan Heng.
Honkai: Star Rail – Acheron Build Guide
Acheron is a special Nihility character in Honkai: Star Rail, where her Energy is non-existent, and her damage feels like a Hunt character.
As the first weekly boss in the game, it’s no surprise that Doomsday Beast is the easiest among the available weekly challenges in Honkai: Star Rail. To beat this enemy, focus on destroying the Left and Right Hand to disable the Antimatter Engine in the middle. Once the Antimatter Engine is destroyed, the boss will be downed. Here, do not use heavy attacks and instead throw useless moves to restore Skill Points and Energy. The boss won’t start the second phase until their health bar is depleted, so unleashing the team’s best moves is useless.
While incapacitated, damage dealt to the boss is increased significantly, allowing Trailblazers to deal large damage for damage-related achievement.
5 End of the Eternal Freeze
Cocolia
After the misunderstanding in Belobog, players eventually must battle Cocolia in Honkai: Star Rail. In the first phase of this weekly boss, players can focus solely on Cocolia and bring her down quickly, but if that’s not possible, destroy her Ice Lances first to make Cocolia weaker. Utilize the Preservation Creation’s Wrath to get rid of the Ice Lances swiftly.
In the second phase, players should aim to deplete her Toughness, but only trigger a weakness break when she’s charging her Ultimate move. This way, the team can avoid massive damage from Cocolia. Although Cocolia comes with some deadly hits for new players, her mechanics are quite basic compared to the latter weekly bosses in the game.
4 Divine Seed
Phantylia The Undying
The Imbibitor Lunae’s past eventually leads players to the surprising "death" of Tingyun and the revelation of Phantylia the Undying in Honkai: Star Rail. The Emanator of Destruction enjoys bringing chaos and aims to destroy Luofu as she infiltrates the ship. Fortunately, with the power of friendship between Dan Heng and Jing Yuan, Phantylia was swiftly dealt with.
Honkai: Star Rail – Imbibitor Lunae Build Guide
Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae is an excellent AoE attacker with Imaginary Element in Honkai: Star Rail.
Beating Phantylia can be tricky since she has so many things going on, such as:
- Stealing your Skill Point
- Siphoning a character’s HP (reduces HP and max recoverable HP)
- Charging her flower to deal large damage, which can be interrupted by removing buff from the Lotus
If players have specific characters, her ability can be countered easily, but if not, it can be confusing to deal with.
3 Inner Beast's Battlefield
Feixiao
The theory about how to beat Feixiao boss in Honkai: Star Rail is not difficult, but beating her is harder than it sounds. This is mostly due to the fact that the boss is packed with HP, has three helping parts with high Toughness that can get enhanced, and, most importantly, the lack of supporting hits, similar to the Swarm King.
Many weekly bosses in HSR get easier if players trigger a weakness break, but it’s never a necessity. For Feixiao, players must use the Toughness mechanism, otherwise, the boss will continuously dish out large damage.
2 Borehole Planet's Old Crater
Starcrusher Swarm King
The Emanator of Propagation replica boss fight may be difficult for players with an under-built team, but there are no crazy mechanics for this boss, compared to the other Echoes of War enemies.
Starcrusher Swarm King can be easily brute-forced with a proper team, but if the current Trailblazing party is not strong enough, then here are some things worth noting:
Honkai: Star Rail - Ruan Mei Ascension and Trace Materials
Ruan Mei's weekly boss materials in Honkai: Star Rail was released alongside her in version 1.6.
- The boss will summon smaller bugs throughout the fight.
- While in the Multiply state, attacking the boss will cause one small bug (Gnaw Sting) to spawn.
- Triggering weakness breaks while the boss is in the Multiply state is highly ideal to avoid damage and quickly get rid of the enemies.
- Gnaw Sting deals explosion damage to their own teammates after taking a killing blow, allowing players to use the small bugs to deplete the boss and other bugs’ HP.
1 Salutations of Ashen Dreams
Sunday
Among the available weekly bosses, Sunday fight in Honkai: Star Rail is arguably the most annoying. Unlike the other enemies which can be brute-forced, the follower of Order basically forces players to continuously and slowly reduce his and his minion’s Toughness.
When Sunday casts his Ultimate, he charges for seven turns. In this time frame, depleting the boss’ Toughness will grant a team-wide shield. Make sure to stack on this protection, cause after seven turns, his Ultimate can be deadly if not enough shield is present.
