How To Beat Aventurine In Honkai: Star Rail

In the A Walk Among the Tombstones quest, Aventurine has weaknesses to Physical, Ice, and Lightning, and increased RES to Imaginary. He has a massive Toughness count of 450, making it hard to trigger a weakness break unless the team is dedicated to doing so.
Aventurine's skill sets are actually rather simple, but his Gambling mode makes it tough to deal with him swiftly. Players must strategically plan their moves and manage their Energy. Aventurine boss fight comes in two phases. All his movesets and stats remain the same in both phases, but his Gambling mode is more prominent in the second phase.
Once every two turns, Aventurine will force you into Gambling mode. In the first phase, he'll take one of your characters to play and disable the rest. Meanwhile, in the second phase, all of your characters are forced to play, so you must ensure they all win the Gamble to avoid hard hits from Aventurine.
How To Win The Gamble Against Aventurine Boss
When Aventurine activates his Gamble mode, a number will appear behind Aventurine. On your right is Aventurine’s number, and on your left is your number. You can increase your number by hitting the All or Nothing Dice in front of Aventurine. Here are some things you need to know about the Gamble:
- In the first phase, Aventurine summons two Dice, and in the second phase, he summons four.
- AoE hit will activate all the Dice you hit, so you’ll get more numbers with AoE hitter.
- You can use Basic Attack/Skill, then Ultimate, or vice versa, and the numbers you get will all stack.

Since you regain your Ultimate if you win the gamble, you must prioritize saving your Ultimate until the Gamble starts and ensure you win it. Otherwise, the damage he deals with can be deadly.
Team Composition To Beat Aventurine
To beat Aventurine in Honkai: Star Rail, you need characters that hit in an AoE. Fortunately, thanks to his weakness, players can use top-tier HSR DPS that also hits in an AoE, such as Argenti, Kafka, Jing Yuan, Acheron, and Jingliu.
However, since in phase two, Aventurine takes all of your characters to Gamble, the rest of the team must also be able to hit in an AoE. Otherwise, it’s necessary to bring enough protection to make sure your allies won’t be defeated.
