Best Light Cone |
|||
As the latest 4-star Harmony character to join Honkai: Star Rail's roster, Hanya introduces additional support options for players. Both Hanya's Skill and Ultimate offer distinct benefits to the party, including skill point recovery, increased ATK, and a boost in speed for a chosen party member. This versatility makes her an excellent fit for various team compositions and hypercarry teams.
Interestingly, Hanya is featured in two light cone art designs, one for Hunt (Return to Darkness) and the other for Destruction (Under a Blue Sky), neither of which align with her path. Nevertheless, her adaptability allows her to effectively utilize many Harmony light cones from different rarities. The best options, especially in between the 4-star rarity ones highly depend on the team composition, as some will simply show more benefit than the other in certain situations.

After entering battle, increases the ATK of all allies by 12%. Effects of the same type cannot stack. |
||
For players who aim to play as free-to-play and cannot invest heavily in Hanya, the Chorus light cone at a 3-star rarity provides a viable option. It grants an ATK buff to all allies, synergizing with Hanya's own abilities. It's important to note that for optimal use of this light cone, players should consider not only the main DPS character scaling with ATK but also other supports, such as Luocha, to maximize the benefits of this light cone for all team members.

One of the following effects is applied randomly at the start of combat and whenever the wearer takes action: Increase all allies' ATK by 10%, increase all allies' CRIT DMG by 12%, or increase all allies' Energy Regeneration Rate by 6%. The applied effect cannot be identical to the last effect applied, and will replace the previous effect. The applied effect will be removed when the wearer has been knocked down. Effects of the similar type cannot be stacked. |
||
"Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds" stands as a versatile light cone option for players seeking various effects, including Crit DMG and Energy Regeneration increases for all allies. While a degree of luck is involved in consistently maximizing its benefits, the overall usefulness and synergy with Hanya make it a valuable choice.
While it is not a F2P option, players investing in the Battle Pass "Nameless Glory" will see the benefit from all potential buffs, combined with Hanya's own buffs. However, for those less inclined toward Crit DMG stat, especially when paired with characters like Kafka, other light cone options might be more suitable.

Increases the wearer's Break Effect by 28%. When the wearer attacks, additionally regenerates 4 Energy. This effect can only be triggered 1 time per turn. |
||
Hanya's forte doesn't particularly lie in Break Effect, but teams heavily reliant on it might find value in the first effect of "Memories of the Past." What makes this light cone a good choice for Hanya is its energy regeneration effect instead. Given Hanya's ability to utilize both her Skill and Basic attack, players can continuously trigger this passive effect every turn, facilitating quicker energy recovery for her burst, especially when max superimposed.
However, if players have Hanya's 4th eidolon, extending the duration of her Ultimate by one more turn, focusing on energy generation with this light cone may not be as crucial, as she can consistently maintain it. In such cases, other light cone options that bring added buffs for the team members might provide more value.

When the wearer uses their Ultimate, all allies' actions are Advanced Forward by 16%. |
||
"Dance! Dance! Dance!" Stands out as another excellent and straightforward light cone option that players can easily leverage, especially if they aim to create a relatively fast-paced team. Hanya's Ultimate provides an ally with an added speed bonus, and with this light cone, all allies can advance further. This proves particularly useful in content like Forgotten Hall, where turn advantage and minimizing the number of turns are crucial.
However, if the team doesn't generally benefit from advancing forward, such as situations where characters need to reapply buffs or debuffs quickly due to early turns, causing potential issues for skill point management, this may not be the optimal choice. Players considering this light cone should carefully assess whether the characters in the composition truly benefit from it, as some characters may find advantages in being slower as well.

Upon battle entry, if an ally deals the same DMG Type as the wearer, DMG dealt increases by 12%. |
||
"Planetary Rendezvous" emerges as another situational yet highly useful light cone, particularly effective when paired with the right team, making it an excellent choice for players who favor mono-element team compositions. Those who deploy Hanya alongside characters like Clara, Argenti, or even Sushang can reap substantial benefits from this light cone. It has the potential to enhance the performance of other characters that may not be specialized for DPS, such as Natasha.
However, if players plan to use Hanya in diverse teams featuring Hypercarry DPS characters of different elements, this light cone may not offer much utility. In such cases, it's advisable to opt for an alternative unless players are inclined to invest in a variety of light cone options and are comfortable swapping them around.

When the wearer uses their Skill, then the next ally taking action (except the wearer) deals 32% increased DMG for 1 turn(s). |
||
"Past and Future" stands out as an entirely free-to-play light cone that proves to be an excellent option for Hanya, since players can easily obtain copies for superimposing it to obtain the highest possible buff through Echoes of War and Forgotten Hall.
It's worth noting that, since generally, Hanya should be built as a fast unit, this may make it easier to plan the action order for other characters. This is particularly the case especially if they are employing slower support units, however players still need to pay attention. It's crucial to ensure that the DPS character can take action right after Hanya, before other team members do. Luckily, since Hanya can enhance an ally's speed with her Ultimate, this can be effectively maintained for slower DPS characters as well.

Increases the wearer's Energy Regeneration Rate by 10% and regenerates 1 Skill Point when the wearer uses their Ultimate on an ally. This effect can be triggered after every 2 uses of the wearer's Ultimate. When the wearer uses their Skill, the next ally taking action (except the wearer) deals 30% more DMG for 1 turn(s). |
||
"While the Battle Isn't Over" serves as the signature light cone for Bronya, it surprisingly synergizes well with Hanya. This light cone adds to Hanya's skill point recovery utility and also provides DMG buffs for the next character in action order, similar to what Past and Future offers. As such, players need to pay the same attention to the action order as they would when utilizing Past and Future.
However, this light cone comes with added benefits, such as enabling Hanya to activate her burst even faster with increased Energy Regeneration rate and skill point generation. Ultimately, the difference between Past and Future and While the Battle Isn't Over isn't huge. If players don't have access to the latter yet or are using it on another character that can benefit from it, there is no need to invest in it additionally, in order to save on resources.
