Feixiao, the Arbiter-General of the Xianzhou Yaoqing, comes with a very distinct set of abilities that set her apart from the other Hunt characters in Honkai: Star Rail. She inflicts massive amounts of single target damage through skills and Follow-Up Attacks, which can be triggered by herself and allies. The general is a decent unit on her own, but when put in certain teams, her performance increases significantly.
Feixiao is very much a teamplayer like other FUA-based HSR characters like Topaz. The damage she deals is solid, but she needs a good team to serve as the engine that enables her power. While players can definitely use Feixiao on any team they fancy, the following ones are arguably the best for the Lacking General.
Best Feixiao Team In HSR
Before anything else, it's important to know how Feixiao's playstyle works. Much of her damage comes from her Follow-Up Attacks and Ultimate. The latter does not use energy — instead, it gains charges whenever an ally attacks, becoming available once Feixiao gains six charges (she can store up to 12 charges). Her FUAs are automatically triggered when an ally attacks an enemy, though she can manually trigger them herself with her Skill. Feixiao's FUA can only be triggered by an ally once per Feixiao turn, similar to Kafka in Honkai: Star Rail.
With those key points in mind, players will want to put Feixiao in teams that attack frequently so she can use her FUAs and Ultimate as much as possible.
Feixiao Follow-Up Attack Team
- Feixiao + FUA Sub-DPS + Aventurine + Robin
Feixiao works best when there are other FUA units in the team. Topaz is one of the best options to use here as Feixiao can help make Numby attack more frequently, resulting in more Ultimate charges for the general. Players who don't have Topaz can use either March or Moze to achieve virtually the same thing, albeit slightly slower. A well-built Moze in particular is very strong with Feixiao.
Aventurine is a given considering Feixiao's reliance on other teammates attacking. Likewise, Robin is an excellent support for any team with high-frequency attackers, as not only do her buffs increase the team's damage, but her Ultimate tacks on free DPS to every attack made by teammates.
Alternative Characters
The characters above are arguably the best ones Feixiao as of her release. However, for those who are missing some of the units mentioned above, here are some decent alternative picks who also work great in many of HSR's best F2P teams:
- Bronya: A solid Support unit who can buff Crit DMG and manipulate action orders.
- Gallagher: An offense-oriented healer who buffs Break DMG and enables lifesteal for allies.
- Herta: AOE Sub-DPS; excellent pick for Simulated/Divergent Universe and Pure Fiction.
- Himeko: Similar to Herta, but with better FUA frequency.
