Joining the roster of relatively few limited Hunt characters in Honkai: Star Rail, Boothill is a single-target-oriented Physical DPS character who excels at leveraging Weakness Break due to his unique kit. While other characters like Sushang also benefit from Weakness Break and share the same element and path, Boothill takes this to the next level by being able to implement Physical Weakness on enemies, having enhanced basic attacks, and a scaling Break Effect that allows him to deal massive damage.

Considering that Boothill predominantly scales with Break Effect, players might find it challenging to pick the most suitable light cone for him, aside from his signature option. Nevertheless, despite focusing primarily on Break Effect and Speed for his kit, he can still make use of some Crit stats or benefit from options that enhance his overall damage. Here are the best options for light cones for Boothill in Honkai: Star Rail. These alternatives, while not as optimal as his signature light cone, still provide significant benefits and can make Boothill a formidable DPS character in various team compositions.

Increases the DMG of the wearer's Basic ATK and Skill by 24%. This effect increases by an extra 24% when the wearer's current Energy reaches its max level.

Considering that Boothill can perform Enhanced Basic ATKs, Subscribe for More! Can work on him quite well, especially if players are able to secure some superimpositions for this light cone. Nevertheless, comparing to the other 4-star light cones on the list, especially since some options can be obtained as F2P, players should only focus on this option if players are utilizing them on other characters.

4 River Flows in Spring

After entering battle, increases the wearer's SPD by 12% and DMG by 24%. When the wearer takes DMG, this effect will disappear. This effect will resume after the end of the wearer's next turn.

As River Flows in Spring enhances Boothill's DMG and SPD, it can allow Boothill to act more frequently and deal more damage over time, being a good light cone option that doesn't add any unwanted stats to him, considering his ATK scaling isn't so significant. It is an excellent F2P 4-star option for Boothill.

3 Swordplay

For each time the wearer hits the same target, DMG dealt increases by 8%, stacking up to 5 time(s). This effect will be dispelled when the wearer changes targets.

Swordplay increases damage dealt with each subsequent attack on the same target, which synergizes well with Boothill's single-target DPS role, making it effective for sustained damage. It is in particular useful in cases where he will be fighting a strong boss enemy. As such this light cone is also his best 4-star rarity option.

2 Cruising in the Stellar Sea

Increases the wearer's CRIT rate by 16%, and increases their CRIT rate against enemies with HP less than or equal to 50% by an extra 16%. When the wearer defeats an enemy, their ATK is increased by 40% for 2 turn(s).

Cruising in the Stellar Sea boosts Crit Rate and even provides an additional Crit Rate increase against enemies with less than 50% HP, making it effective for finishing off foes. While Crit Rate isn't normally as particularly as useful as Break Effect for Boothill, it can still come in handy for times when he is not dealing Weakness Break damage. This makes this light cone the best F2P option, similar to it being the same for many other Hunt characters.

1 Sailing Towards A Second Life

Increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 60% and Break DMG dealt by the wearer ignores 20% of the target’s DEF. When the wearer’s Break Effect in battle is at 150% or greater, increase their SPD by 12%.

Being his signature light cone, Sailing Towards A Second Life is tailored for Boothill, offering massive advantages over the other options due to the Break Effect and Break DMG oriented buffs it provides, alongside also increasing his Speed and allowing him to ignore the target's DEF. As such, especially considering that there are no Hunt light cones as of now that focuses on Break Effect, it's the best choice for maximizing his performance, and making him quite reliant on this light cone to see his true potential.
