In Honkai: Star Rail, having access to characters of different elements is quite useful. While the elements do not have specific reactions with each other, they directly affect the damage output to an enemy based on their weakness. Additionally, the game features weakness break mechanics that further enhance the strategic aspect of team composition. With this in mind, Honkai: Star Rail has introduced a substantial number of DPS characters, each with unique abilities. Argenti stands out as the first limited-time 5-star Physical character to join the roster. Furthermore, being an Erudition character adds to his rarity, as there are few characters in this category, with Jing Yuan being the only previous addition in a similar manner.
Therefore, players looking to add a new character to their roster, especially if they don't have a character like Clara, may find Argenti quite useful. While relatively straightforward, Argenti possesses some unique abilities, particularly with his Ultimate, making him an appealing choice for players who enjoy team compositions centered around this ability. However, maximizing Argenti's effectiveness still relies heavily on proper character building and synergy with other team members.

Best Argenti Relics In Honkai: Star Rail
Since Argenti is a straightforward DPS character whose damage scales with ATK, his build is quite similar to many other DPS characters, particularly in terms of sub-stats. The most suitable relic set for Argenti is undoubtedly a full set of Champion of Streetwise Boxing. This set not only increases Argenti's Physical DMG but also grants him up to 25% more ATK for the remainder of the battle with each stack gained through attacking or being hit. Given the simple condition for obtaining these stacks, Argenti greatly benefits from this set. However, players who may not yet have access to good pieces for this relic or are not interested in farming it further may opt for a combination of this set with Musketeer of Wild Wheat.
On the other hand, since most of Argenti's damage comes from his Enhanced Ultimate, achieved by using more Energy, the Inert Salsotto set works best. This planar ornament set provides a Crit Rate boost, which, combined with Argenti's ability to further increase his Crit Rate, can significantly enhance his Ultimate damage upon reaching 50% Crit Rate, a manageable threshold. Alternatively, players interested in a Speed-oriented Argenti may benefit from the Firmament Frontline Glamoth set. This set can increase his overall damage and ATK%, but to optimize it, players should opt for Speed boots, sacrificing the use of ATK% boots. The choice between these two sets will depend on the player's available resources and how they balance Argenti's stats, particularly in terms of ATK and Crit values. Since many of Argenti's ascension traces focus on ATK, prioritizing Crit values through substats over ATK and Speed and giving him a Crit DMG or Crit Rate piece for the Body is recommended.
Interestingly, while many of the main stats are quite standard for Argenti and similar to other DPS characters, for the Link Rope, it is highly recommended that players opt for an Energy Regeneration Rate piece to help him gain energy as fast as possible, even though he does have access to energy regeneration through his own talent as well.
Best Argenti Light Cones In Honkai: Star Rail
As far as building Argenti goes, luckily, players to have access to many viable options for this Erudition character, allowing him to use a variety of different weapons, whether they are of different rarities, obtainable as F2P, or otherwise. Generally speaking, Argenti will best benefit from light cones that increase stats such as Crit Damage, ATK, and his overall damage or Ultimate damage specifically.
- An Instant Before A Gaze: This light cone is Argenti's best light cone option as his signature light cone that comes alongside him. It not only increases his Crit Damage but also boosts his Ultimate damage further based on the max energy used. However, other weapons are also available that can enhance his Ultimate damage or increase his stats, such as Crit or ATK:
- Make the World Clamor: While generally obtainable through Gacha, players who participated in the web event during the launch of Honkai: Star Rail may have access to this light cone as a free-to-play option. While the primary benefit of this light cone is at the start of the battle, generating energy for Argenti upon entering, its secondary effect that increases Ultimate Damage persists throughout the entire battle. This can be exceptionally powerful, especially if players have access to superimpositions.
- Today Is Another Peaceful Day: The Battle Pass light cone for Erudition, "Today Is Another Peaceful Day," is another good option, especially since it increases damage based on the maximum Energy requirement. It's worth noting however that while Argenti's max energy is 180, this light cone will increase DMG up to 160. Nevertheless, even with this limitation, the 32% increase on no superimpositions and the 64% increase with full superimposition are still significant. This light cone is valuable for enhancing both his Skill and Basic Attack damage alongside Ultimate, making it an all-around option.
- Before Dawn: Jing Yuan's signature light cone, "Before Dawn," can also be a good option for Argenti, as it increases Crit DMG, Skill DMG, and Ultimate DMG. However, the added effect related to follow-up attack DMG won't be useful in Argenti's case, as he doesn't have a follow-up attack mechanic.
- Night on the Milky Way: "Night on the Milky Way" can work great when there are a lot of enemies on the field; however, its utility will diminish to some extent when the battle doesn't involve as many enemies. Regardless, if the team is also focusing on triggering weakness breaks as often as possible, its utility will still be prominent. With every weakness break, Argenti's damage will be increased for a turn.
- The Seriousness of Breakfast: This light cone can still work excellently, especially for players aiming to go as F2P as possible, as it is obtainable through Echoes of War and Forgotten Hall and easy to superimpose. With that, players will be able to increase Argenti's all-round damage significantly without any conditions, and even further increase his ATK upon defeating enemies.
- Data Bank: While an only 3-star light cone, Data Bank's unconditional effect of increasing Ultimate damage by 56% at max superimposition is not to be underestimated. Players looking for another relatively F2P option can also consider Data Bank instead of The Seriousness of Breakfast.
- Geniuses' Repose: If all other options are not available, Geniuses' Repose can also work, as it has an unconditional ATK increase, topped by Crit DMG increase upon defeating enemies. While increasing Crit DMG is quite unique as far as 4-star options go, since it is conditional, players may not find good use of it in battles that do not often rely on bosses that spawn adds in the battle.
Argenti Trace Priority In Honkai: Star Rail
Argenti's biggest damage source is his Ultimate, and as such, players should be focusing on upgrading this further. Additionally, his talent can help him self-buff, and upgrading it helps him stack more Crit Rate. His basic attack and skill are quite straightforward, as they only have damage modifiers, so these should be given the least priority. With all considered, the Trace priority order should be:
