Archer is a playable Quantum character in Honkai: Star Rail. As a Hunt unit, Archer needs a lot of attention from his team to succeed, as they provide him with enough buffs and debuffs to be able to deal massive DMG to his target. For that, here are the best team comps for Archer in HSR.
Wuthering Waves: Best DPS Characters, Ranked
Although supportive Resonators in Wuthering Waves are crucial to have, the star of the team will always be the DPS character.
1 Archer + Sparkle + Cipher + Huohuo
As a Quantum DPS who heavily depends on Skill Points, Sparkle is Archer's best support in Honkai: Star Rail. Archer needs to play as much as possible to consume the team’s Skill Points and reset his Follow-up attacks. He also needs Sparkle’s buffs for his DMG, Crit DMG, and ATK%. On top of that, every time Sparkle increases the team’s Skill Points, Archer will get a 120% Crit DMG buff through his Traces.
Next, players can add Cipher to Archer’s teams in HSR. She will automatically make enemies take 40% extra DMG by just existing on the field. Not only that, but Cipher will also record all DMG until it’s time to unleash her Ultimate, which can deal an insane amount of DMG to a single target. Players can also replace Cipher with Silver Wolf, who got a buff to her kit in version 3.4, to debuff enemies.
Finally, in an Archer team, it’s important to add a character like Huohuo for sustainability. She can buff the team’s DMG and energy, allowing Archer to use his Ultimate more often and deal even more DMG when he spams his Skills.
2 Archer + Sparkle + Sunday + Fu Xuan
Archer is another DPS that pairs perfectly with Sunday in HSR. Sunday provides everything Archer needs, like giving him extra DMG, Crit Rate, Crit DMG, energy, and even more. Sunday constantly recovers the Skill Point he used to cast his Skill, which keeps Archer buffed by his passive, and keeps the team SP positive. He also advances Archer’s Action by 100%, which helps Archer play more often with all these buffs from Sunday and Sparkle.

Both Harmony units in HSR greatly increase Archer’s DPS as they keep the team SP positive. However, adding Sunday to Archer’s team removes one Quantum unit from the team, slightly reducing Sparkle’s buff. Players can easily fix that by adding Quantum supports like Fu Xuan and Lynx.
3 Archer + Hanya + Pela + Gallagher
Although not the most optimal, players can still play Archer with an F2P team. Pair him with Hanya, who will slightly buff his DMG while generating Skill Points. Players can replace her with Bronya if she has her Light Cone or her first Eidolon. Both have mechanics to help Bronya regenerate Skill Points for the team and keep her on the SP positive side.
Pela is another SP-positive character who can help Archer in his F2P team. She specializes in shredding enemies’ DEF with her Ultimate, which allows her to create Skill Points on her turn (although you still want to use her Skill occasionally to get her Ultimate faster). It won't trigger Archer’s Crit DMG passive, but it will help him launch more arrows at enemies during his Skill spam. Similarly, Gallagher can restore the team’s Skill Points with his extra turns while providing enough healing to keep the team alive during combat.
