Honkai: Star Rail 4.0 livestream not only comes with an announcement of a surprise Fortnite collab, but also a lot of new content and freebies. Here's a summary of the HSR 4.0 livestream.

Honkai Star Rail 4.0 Livestream Summary
New Planet & Main Quest
HSR 4.0 will take Trailblazers to Planarcadia. These areas will be available inside the planet:
- Duomension City
- Graphia Academy
- Dovebrook District
- "World's End" Tavern
Of course, as the start of a new version, you can expect a new story, which will begin with No Aha At Fullmoon.
New Enemy & Materials
New enemies will roam around Planarcadia, with @SparxiConOfficial likely being the most notable monster. This enemy have unique combat system, which revolves around livestreaming and challenges. You can expect it to be showy, like the Aventurine boss fight in HSR.
With the release of Elation characters, Planarcadia introduces new Elation materials, along with new The Hunt Trace material and Lightning Ascension materials.
New Relics
Two new Relics, Ever-Glorious Magical Girl and Diviner of Distant Reach, will be available in Planarcadia. By their design, Diviner of Distant Reach is likely what you will need for Yao Guang.

Yao Guang and Sparxie will lead the release of the Elation Path in HSR, accompanied by a whopping six rerun banners throughout the version. Other than their signature Light Cones, four other Elation weapons will be available. Sneering (3-star), Lingering Tear (3-star), Mushy Shroomy's Adventures (4-star, obtainable from Priceless Jewels and other sources), and Today's Good Luck (4-star, Battle Pass weapon).
Sparkle and Black Swan also get a buff in version 4.0. Sparkle will get a better Skill Point recovery rate, longer Skill Duration, and increased Energy Regen. Meanwhile, Black Swan can exceed the maximum Arcana stack and is better at stacking Arcana in general. She can also buff the team's DMG, on top of debuffing enemies.
Freebies
You can expect a ton of freebies for HSR 4.0, and it's not even the anniversary time yet. Between version 4.0 and 4.2, you can log in to claim 1 of 7 5-star characters, between:
- Jing Yuan (Lightning-Erudition)
- Kafka (Lightning-Nihility)
- Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae (Imaginary-Destruction)
- Jingliu (Ice-Destruction)
- Sparkle (Quantum-Harmony)
- Acheron (Lightning-Nihility)
- Aventurine (Imaginary-Preservation)
Make sure to log in to claim a new Ruan Mei outfit, a total of 20 Star Rail Special Pass, and 1600 Stellar Jades. There's also a 0.01% chance to get an extra 100 Star Rail Special Pass, though you shouldn't hold your breath for it.
New Trailblazer Accessories
You can buy the Vim and Vigor outfit from the Gift of Stardust Store. These head accessories will also be available:
- Sparkly Rabbit and Fire Shroom (Gift of Stardust Store)
- Raccoon Supplicant Mask (Furbobocom gameplay)
- Ah! Youth! (Cosmicon, Roll On! Event)
- Loading (Buy from a bundle)
Events & Content Update
Not many events were announced on the livestream, but you can expect the Cosmicon, Roll On! Event, which will revolve around the new card game. There's also the Ding! Arcadia Fun-Time Clock-In Essentials event.
Finally, the Planar Fissure and Realm of the Strange will make their way back to HSR sometime in the version, so keep a lookout for those extra drops.
On the permanent feature side, Currency Wars: Zero-Sum Game and Divergent Universe: Protean Hero will get a content update.
