A recent Honkai: Star Rail leak revealed that the popular Erudition character Herta is getting a 5-star version in future updates. Since Honkai: Star Rail launched, Herta has been one of the permanently free 4-star characters given to players, and she is a fan-favorite choice for certain gameplay modes. However, a more powerful version of Herta might become a reality.
Players first met Herta during the Prologue Quest in Honkai: Star Rail, as she owns the Space Station that the Trailblazers frequently visit. Herta is an Ice-type character following the path of Erudition, and she is the best Honkai: Star Rail character for Pure Fiction teams. Although she is playable as a four-star, Herta's role is very relevant lore-wise. Not only is she a member of the Genius Society, but she is also the Emanator of Nous, the Aeon of Erudition. Moreover, the Herta that players meet in the game is actually a puppet, and not Herta herself. Fans have long wondered if the real Heart would eventually make an appearance. Their request may finally be answered, according to a recent leak.
Prominent Honkai: Star Rail leaker HomDGCat has shared new details about a 5-star version of Herta coming in future updates. As the leak reads, this version would be the real Herta, meaning the Emanator herself. This 5-star Herta would be an entirely new unit, similar to how Dan Heng and Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae are separate playable units of the same character. However, unlike Dan Heng, Herta may maintain the same Path and Element as her 4-star version, that is to say, Erudition and Ice. Earlier leaks revealed that Honkai: Star Rail developers scrapped a Fire-type Herta, but it seems that releasing an alternate Herta was always planned.
Honkai: Star Rail Leaks 5-star Version of Herta
The leak also sheds light on 5-star Herta's kit, reporting that most of her damage comes from her Skill and can perform three different actions. First, her skill marks a single target and detonates it. Then, the mark spreads to adjacent enemies and detonates all of them. Finally, the enemies' adjacent units also get marked and receive an attack. After this, all marks are removed. Herta's Ultimate deals damage to all units and stacks a certain buff. If this 5-star version of Herta becomes a reality, she could easily become one of the best Erudition characters in Honkai: Star Rail.
Honkai: Star Rail is soon releasing its 2.5 update with exciting content like a new Trailblaze Continuance mission and three new characters, Lingsha, Moze, and Feixiao, with the latter expected to be the next best Wind-type DPS. Recently, Honkai: Star Rail revealed the 5-star character Rappa, an Imaginary-type Erudition unit that should join the roster in Version 2.6.
