Honkai: Star Rail has introduced players to Dr. Ratio, releasing a trailer that shows the character in action against various enemies. For the very first time, Honkai: Star Rail will give players a free five-star unit, Dr. Ratio, who will be available to claim until the end of patch 2.1. Once the second part of 1.6 is released on January 17, he will get his own banner like every new character in the game.
In Honkai: Star Rail version 1.6, Trailblazers will take part in various events and tackle challenging encounters to get rewards. They will unlock new Light Cones, including Baptism of the Thought and Brilliant Fixation that enhance certain aspects of the wearer. As is tradition, a number of Stellar Jades will be given as compensation following the conclusion of the server maintenance.
Honkai: Star Rail has officially introduced Dr. Ratio, giving players an insight into the character's combat animations and design. Dr. Ratio is now confirmed to be a five-star Imaginary unit who hails from the Hunt path. He uses Baptism of the Pure Thought, a top-tier Light Cone that belongs to the same path, to deal CRIT damage to singular targets. In addition to the CRIT damage bonus, this weapon provides Dr. Ratio with the Disputation effect, which increases his overall damage when using ultimate. The character's talent animation shows him shooting a magical spear-like thing at enemies.
Dr. Ratio's gameplay animations are based on geometry and have an elegant design that matches his true identity. Upon using ultimate, he calculates the angle to drop a giant pillar on enemies and deal Imaginary damage. As confirmed by the developers, Trailblazers must complete The Blue-A Moment of Peace story mission to get a free copy of Dr. Ratio through their mail.
Judging by his signature weapon and kit, Dr. Ratio could be one of the best Imaginary units in Honkai: Star Rail. Not only does the character inflict debuffs on enemies, but he also delivers a degree of single-target damage. It's safe to assume that Dr. Ratio will be an upgrade for every type of team, regardless of his combat type.
Besides Dr. Ratio, Honkai: Star Rail version 1.6 will feature another five-star character, Kafka, whose rerun banner will be available for at least 20 days. There will be a trio of reruns: Hook, Natasha, and Sushang, each having their own unique abilities and animations. Since all characters are featured in event wishes in the second phase of update 1.6, players can expect to get a boosted chance to pull them from the upcoming banner.
