There are many steps to building a character in Honkai: Star Rail, and one of the most important steps is relic farming. Players usually start searching for good relics after their characters are at max level because it's by far the most time-consuming. Planar Ornaments are relic sets that can only be found as rewards in Simulated Universe. Unlike relic sets from Caverns of Corrosion, there are only two pieces in planar ornament sets.
Honkai Star Rail: 7 Beginner Tips
Honkai: Star Rail is a turn-based game with some complicated techniques, so knowing the following beginner tips can be helpful.
The biggest difference between the two methods is the time it takes to complete them. Caverns are normally two wave battles with a certain mini-boss that can be finished in a few minutes. Simulated Universe is its own mini-game with multiple stages and bosses, which take much more time. In order to be energy efficient when farming, it's good to know which sets are worth spending resources on.
14 Celestial Differentiator
(2) Increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by 16%. When the wearer's current CRIT DMG reaches 120% or higher, after entering battle, the wearer's CRIT Rate increases by 60% until the end of their first attack.
Celestial Differentiator is probably the most unused set in the game. Its passive effect gives the character extra critical damage, which is great, but that is really all it does. The second half of the effect is useless if the requirement isn't met, and even if the conditions are correct, the extra critical rate it gives only lasts for a single turn.
This kind of boost would only be good for people trying to complete content in one cycle, which is generally unrealistic for a majority of the player base. Generally, it's not worth farming.
13 Sigonia, the Unclaimed Desolation
(2) Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 4%. When an enemy target gets defeated, the wearer's CRIT DMG increases by 4%, stacking up to 10 time(s).
Out of all the planar ornaments, Sigonia is one of the few sets designed for a certain type of content, specifically Pure Fiction where there are multiple waves of enemies in one combat. Getting stats to boost critical chance and damage can be difficult, but in most cases, there aren't enough enemies to maximize the effect of the set anyway.
With a measly 4% extra critical chance as the only guaranteed effect, a different ornament set would be much more useful. Other sets offer 8% with extra damage as long as their conditions are met, and as small as the difference seems, it can still be the difference in meeting certain thresholds.
12 Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm
(2) Increases the wearer's ATK by 12%. When entering battle, if at least one other ally follows the same Path as the wearer, then the wearer's CRIT Rate increases by 12%.
As far as conditional effects go, Izumo Gensei has the easiest requirement to meet as it doesn't rely on any specific stat or timing. If the equipped character has a teammate with the same path in the party, they get a free extra 12% critical chance. With the attack boost as well, using this set is a guaranteed boost in damage.
Izumo Gensei is most commonly used with double Nihility and double Erudtion teams, specifically for characters like Acheron and content like Pure Fiction. No other paths really want to double up on characters or need the extra critical chance.
11 Sprightly Vonwacq
(2) Increases the wearer's Energy Regeneration Rate by 5%. When the wearer's SPD reaches 120 or higher, the wearer's action is Advanced Forward by 40% immediately upon entering battle.
Early in the game's life, Sprightly Vonwacq was a very popular ornament set because of its boost to energy regeneration and its action-advancing effect, which could allow key characters to act before enemies. Players had a difficult time raising the speed of all their characters, so this set would supplement that weakness.
However, now that the community is a little more experienced, this set doesn't have the value it once did because of all the different ways to boost speed available. Of course, the extra energy regeneration can be useful, but it generally won't greatly affect most characters.
10 Talia: Kingdom of Banditry
(2) Increases the wearer's Break Effect by 16%. When the wearer's SPD reaches 145 or higher, the wearer's Break effect increases by an extra 20%.
Break Effect can be a difficult stat to understand, and it hasn't had much of a spotlight until recently with characters like Ruan Mei being released. For most characters, it's a stat that is nice as a bonus, but it's generally not worth building for unless it's specifically needed.
Honkai Star Rail: 8 Ways The Trailblazer Is Better Than Genshin Impact's Traveler
The main character in HoYoverse's newest game Honkai: Star Rail is such a step up from their last attempt in Genshin Impact, and here's why.
Exceptions would Luka or Guinaifen who can do an effective Break Effect build because Physical and Fire have the highest break damage multiplier. Aside from its niche use cases, 145 speed can be difficult to achieve, leaving half of the set effect unused.
9 Pan-Cosmic Commercial Enterprise
(2) Increases the wearer's Effect Hit Rate by 10%. Meanwhile, the wearer's ATK increases by an amount that is equal to 25% of the current Effect Hit Rate, up to a maximum of 25%.
Effect Hit Rate is an important stat for any character that applies debuffs, specifically characters on the path of Nihility. Nihility characters can apply many statuses to enemies like DoTs, defense down, and slow. Because these effects are a core part of their gameplay, it's important that the characters can actually apply them, which is what effect hit rate is meant to do.
Not only does this set boost the effect hit rate of a character, but it will also provide a small attack boost as well, so it's great for characters like Sampo or Black Swan. However, to reach the maximum boost, a character will want a 100% effect hit rate, which is generally not needed.
8 Belobog of the Architects
(2) Increases the wearer's DEF by 15%. When the wearer's Effect Hit Rate is 50% or higher, the wearer gains an extra 15% DEF.
Defense is a stat primarily used by characters on the path of Preservation, tanks, and damage sponges that protect the team, but it can still be helpful for every character. This set was designed specifically for characters like March 7th and Gepard, Preservation units that would most likely need or want a higher effect hit rate.
Using Belobog of the Architects, lets the player build their characters a little more flexibly without sacrificing defensive stats, but as it's the only planar ornament set that gives a boost to defense, it can be used by anyone who struggles to survive.
7 Penacony, Land of the Dreams
(2) Increases the wearer's Energy Regeneration Rate by 5%. Increases DMG for all other allies with the same DMG Type as the wearer by 10%.
As one of two sets that provide extra energy regeneration, Penacony comes out ahead because its effect is continuous. Characters with the same element type as the wearer will get a small damage boost. For example, having Asta in a team with Hook and (Fire) Trailblazer will give both 10% extra damage.
Honkai: Star Rail – Every Harmony Character, Ranked
Harmony is a Path in Honkai: Star Rail where the characters focus on buffing their ally.
Generally, this set works best with teams made up of all the same elements, but given how rare teams like that are actually needed, this set remains a niche pick. It can still be useful for players trying to maximize their damage.
6 Fleet of the Ageless
(2) Increases the wearer's Max HP by 12%. When the wearer's SPD reaches 120 or higher, all allies' ATK increases by 8%.
Despite being one of the first planar ornaments available, Fleet of the Ageless remains one of the best support sets, providing extra health for survival and a small attack boost. This set is good for characters that scale off of HP, like Lynx, Bailu, and Natasha, all of whom need high HP to heal.
This could even be a decent choice for players with Blade, since he uses both HP and attack stats for damage. The best part about this set is the attack boost can stack if multiple members have it equipped, so it will provide a bigger attack boost.
5 Space Sealing Station
(2) Increases the wearer's ATK by 12%. When the wearer's SPD reaches 120 or higher, the wearer's ATK increases by an extra 12%.
Attack is the default stat used to scale a character's damage. Space Sealing Station is a great early choice because it can be used by nearly everyone in the game to great effect because the condition of reaching 120 speed is very achievable.
Once players have unlocked other worlds, this set becomes less useful as getting other damage bonuses becomes more important. However, Space Sealing Station remains a great generalist set even in the late game.
