While exploring The Citadel, Hollow Knight: Silksong players may come across Cogheart pieces that will eventually become a whole Cogheart. However, there's no indication about how to use it, except for some cryptic hints, like the one from the Underworks Architect. To get a Cogwork Heart in Silksong, players must first obtain three Cogheart pieces. All three chambers that guard the Cogheart will come with a musical puzzle, where players must memorize which bells are ringing, then hit them in the same order.
The first Cogheart location is on the northwestern side of Choral Chambers.
When you enter Cogwork Core, find a route to the Whispering Vaults, where the second Cogheart piece is located.
The final Cogheart in Silksong is located in the Memorium, which requires a Double Jump to access.
How To Use Cogwork Heart In Silksong - Hollow Knight: Silksong
To use Cogwork Heart in Silksong, players must find a sleeping sentinel in Cogwork Core. Head to the place where players are told to learn three melodies in Silksong, then leap down the opening on the ground to enter Cogwork Core.
If you haven't already, collect the map on the bench area, which is on the left side when you enter the machinery room. Then, glide down carefully, avoiding obstacles and enemies, until you see an opening on the left.
You can only collect all Cogheart pieces and restore the Cogwork Heart after obtaining the Double Jump skill in Silksong.
Head left while paying attention to the ceiling, until there's an opening to go up. Double jump to enter the upper room. There will be some junk blocking the way to the right. Destroy them and keep heading right until you see a robot inside a glass case. Destroy the glass to interact with it.
Nothing will happen should you choose not to insert the Cogwork Heart, but if you do, the Sentinel will wake, then fly away. You'll then see it fighting enemies in certain places as you explore The Citadel.
Second Sentinel Quest In Silksong (Final Audience)
After restoring the Second Sentinel, players may find a request on Songclave's Wishwall called the Final Audience in Silksong. Head to High Halls, where you learn the Conductor's Melody, and find the Second Sentinel there. The robot wishes to test Hornet's sanity towards the silk curse and initiate a duel.
Winning the duel in the Final Audience quest in Silksong will reward players with the Reserve Bind (blue) tool in Silksong, which acts as an emergency Silk reserve if players ever need to heal but don't have enough Silk. Unfortunately, it only has one charge and needs to be refilled on the bench afterward.
