After passing the Moss Mother's trial, players must battle another foe shortly after. The Bell Beast boss fight in Silksong is not optional, and is actually one of the easiest bosses in the game, once players get to know more enemies in Pharloom.

How To Beat The Bell Beast In Silksong

After getting the Silkspear ability in Silksong, return to the place where there's a creature stuck in a web, then destroy it to trigger the Bell Beast boss fight in Silksong. The reward for beating the Bell Beast is your very first Silk Heart improvement.

If you're struggling to beat Bell Beast in Silksong, then it'll help to know the boss's moves and attacks.

Pay attention to the dust on the ground, as that's where the Bell Beast will appear. In phase 1, the dust will only appear at the two ends of the arena.

The first dust pattern only reaches the middle of the screen, which means that the Bell Beast will charge in the opposite direction. Hold the jump button to avoid the hit, then use the pogo attack (plunge hit) to deal damage while it moves. This can be done by aiming down, then pressing attack.

If the dust reaches the ceiling, this means the Bell Beast will jump and land on the opposite side. When this happens, get ready on the other side (leave enough space for the Bell Beast landing), as the Bell Beast will be vulnerable to being hit for a brief second.

After chipping the creature's HP, it will be enraged and appear from the middle, roaring and causing bells to fall from the roof. Avoid the bell's falling point, and jump to avoid the bell if necessary.

From now on, the Bell Beast will occasionally appear from the ground, throwing bells as it emerges. So now the boss has three attacks. This move can appear anywhere on the arena, so make sure to keep an eye on the ground.

Later, some bells will also start falling from the ceiling, meaning you have to keep an eye on both sides of the screen.
