The popular mobile RPG Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery will get some fun new updates in the following couple of months, just in time for the holiday season. In November, players will be able to experience some intense moments from the box office hit Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, while in December they will be able to assist Professor Dumbledore with some special tasks and also travel with the Weasley family to Romania.
First released in 2018 by developer Jam City, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery eventually turned out to be a beloved game for fans of the magical Wizarding World of Harry Potter. At the time, it was the only Harry Potter title that allowed players to customize their character and have multiple roleplaying options within the magical realm of Hogwarts. Since then, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery has evolved, giving its loyal players a lot of new content throughout the years.
The new Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery updates that are scheduled for the last months of 2023 will build upon the foundation set by the mobile game’s Beyond Hogwarts expansion, released in October. In November, players will participate in encounters related to some key moments from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone that are closely connected to the scary Mountain Troll encounter and Harry Potter’s first epic Quidditch match. A unique Ravenclaw house party, a Thanksgiving-themed Magical Milestones costume, a Family Feast at Hogwarts with their in-game pals, and a new friend will also become available to players throughout the month. Additionally, for a limited time, a Main Quest Multiplier will be introduced to the game, significantly shortening the time it takes players to progress throughout the main storyline.

Even though at launch the mobile game used to be marred by a plethora of problems such as glitches and needless microtransactions, it seems like Hogwarts Mystery’s latest expansion has managed to fix some of its shortcomings. The regular content updates for the Harry Potter mobile game have been warmly embraced by the game's passionate community of fans, as the new holiday updates will hopefully continue to enchant fans of the wizarding franchise.
