Considering the dizzying success of Hogwarts Legacy, one would think that WB would want to capitalize with paid DLC. However, no substantial paid DLC has been officially announced for Hogwarts Legacy to this day, with most reports indicating that developer Avalanche Software is now focused on the inevitable sequel. However, it now seems that there may be hope for Hogwarts Legacy DLC after all.

According to a new report by Insider Gaming, Hogwarts Legacy is getting new DLC that will add "10-15 hours of additional content" to the experience. If the report is accurate, this Hogwarts Legacy DLC will consist of "a new story quest, side quests, activities, and outfits." Insider Gaming stressed that pricing and release date information "are still in flux," but that the Hogwarts Legacy DLC is expected to retail for somewhere between $20 and $30 and will look to launch at some point in 2025. The DLC is expected to be featured in the supposed Definitive Edition of the game, though those that already own the base game will be able to purchase it separately.

Now, it must be stressed that Hogwarts Legacy DLC has not actually been announced at the time of this writing, and so fans should take this information with a grain of salt. That being said, Insider Gaming is a reliable source when it comes to leaks like this, and so it's safe for fans to at least be optimistic. If the Hogwarts Legacy DLC rumors are true, it will definitely be interesting to see what Avalanche Software has in the works, and when exactly the new story content takes place. One would assume that the DLC will take place after the end of Hogwarts Legacy's main story, but it's also possible that it's a completely standalone adventure.

If Hogwarts Legacy DLC is released as rumored, one feature that many fans would like to see added to the game is the ability to change the current season. Hogwarts Legacy lets players experience all four seasons while at Hogwarts and decorates the castle and surrounding areas accordingly, but the game ends with players stuck in a never-ending spring. Being able to choose different seasons would be fantastic, but no plans to that effect were hinted at in the report. Fans will just have to wait and see if these Hogwarts Legacy DLC rumors are true, and if they are, what exactly the new content will entail.
