There are a total of five gear slots that the player can acquire in Hogwarts Legacy. One of the most visually striking ones is the Face Gear, as players will be constantly speaking to other characters in Hogwarts Legacy, and seeing their player-created character during in-game cutscenes. Considering this, players will want to look their best.
Players shouldn’t worry about looking for the best gear in Hogwarts Legacy that involves stats, as each stat is randomly generated and not a guaranteed drop. However, players will still want the best Face Gear, to have their character looking sharp and ready for the battles and mysteries that Hogwarts Legacy has to offer.

With much of the Hogwarts Legacy best gear being found in masks and the face category, it’s time to look at the multitude of options available to the player and to pick out the very best amongst Hogwarts Legacy all masks.
Players will find themselves collecting a multitude of face gear, with some of the best and most striking features in Hogwarts Legacy masks. These items can grant great bonuses, but above all, present the player with a unique fashion to the other students of Hogwarts.
11 Brown Eye Of Newt Goggles
“Extraordinary goggles with a brown eyepiece reminiscent of a newt, for the proudly eccentric.” The tagline for this face gear is certainly right, as the Brown Eye Of Newt Goggles is extremely eccentric. It’s a great piece of gear for making first impressions on how eager the player-created character is for adventure and exploration.
It’s a head-turning piece of gear, for both the reminiscent newt eye and the large goggles. It’s not the average eyewear of a witch or wizard, but also somehow seems oddly in place for Hogwarts Legacy and the variety of customizations.
10 Purple Dragon-Eyed Spectacles
“A legendary pair of purple spectacles with the green irises of a fearsome dragon.” Another rather eccentric piece of face wear is the Purple Dragon-Eyed Spectacles. They truly stand out among the countless eyeglasses in the game, but whether that is a good thing or not is up to the player when they equip them.
The bright purple design, along with the rather goofy dragon lenses, makes for a comedic show in every in-game cutscene. The player constantly looks confused, or out of it in the magical world of Hogwarts Legacy, a perfect theme for a brand new face in Hogsmeade.
9 Quidditch Goggles
“A pair of Quidditch goggles to keep the wind out of your eyes and your sights on the Quaffle” Although Quidditch has been banned by the headmaster of Hogwarts, players can still fly around on their magical broomsticks and now they can wear Quidditch Goggles to still pretend like they’re in the midst of a sports game.
The Quidditch Goggles are perfect for fans of Quidditch, as admittedly, there must be some players out there that are sad that they cannot play the famed magical sports game. However, the Quidditch Goggles will still bring some sense of that sport into the game.
8 Ceramic Mask
“A legendary mask, well suited for concealing your facial expressions.” Players that are seeking a bit of privacy or anonymity throughout Hogwarts and Hogsmeade may benefit from the Ceramic Mask. It’s impossible to see the face underneath, other than the shadow of one’s eyes. Although this has no impact on cutscenes, it makes the player-created character a mystery, and perfect for skipping classes.
With the Ceramic Mask, players may feel safer roleplaying as a dark wizard or witch, as when they learn Unforgivable Curses, the person that they use such a curse on will not know the face of their killer, but only a creepy ceramic mask.
7 Silver Rimmed Circular Spectacles
“A well-appointed pair of round, silver-rimmed spectacles.” It’s no secret that Hogwarts Legacy wouldn’t be what it was if it was not for Harry Potter, the series that started it all. In homage, it’s no surprise that players can obtain Silver Rimmed Circular Spectacles, which are extremely reminiscent of the titular character of Harry Potter, the boy who lived.
Players can create their version of Harry Potter in Hogwarts Legacy thanks to these glasses, and the personalities of the characters almost match, especially when both are the protagonists of the stories occurring in Hogwarts and their surrounding mysteries.
6 Sanguine Mask
“A mask in blood-red with an unsettling, featureless visage” The Sanguine Mask may be a random drop from enemies, but it seems to have a deeper and more secret history that is unknown. The blood-red colors of the mask provide a sense of rage and evil, allowing for players to embrace the anonymous nature of the Dark Arts, a true oddity to wear in fun classes.
With the Sanguine Mask, players might be able to easily tune into their darker side, for the fact that their identity is hidden. Perhaps the red and gold of the mask feature a mystical property, unknown to the player, which could be for evil or worse.
5 Legendary Mask
“A mask with mysterious designs, earned by completing main quests.” The Legendary mask is locked behind the completion of main quests, and it makes sense, considering the material looks like that of the floors and walls of the mysterious dungeons that the player explores throughout the story involving Ancient Magic.
The Legendary Mask is the most private, as the eyeholes are just slits, concealing the identity of the user completely other than ears and hair. The mysterious design is an intimate detail in itself that would leave most students of Hogwarts questioning what it could mean.
4 Asylum Mask
“A mask forged of metal to make you look like you’ve just escaped an asylum” As a piece of random gear, the Asylum Mask could give players the crazed look that they are going for. The Asylum Mask is perfect for fans of Azkaban, which would give them the face mask that has been seen on some of the inmates of this magical prison.
The Asylum Mask seems to be made of metal and is strapped around the face of the player, trapping them behind it. It’s a vicious design, perfect for players that want to embrace the Dark Arts and are not afraid for everyone to see their mask.
3 Dark Arts Mask
“A skull mask, embellished with silver filigree,” the Dark Arts Mask brings terror to the safety of Hogwarts. Perhaps students and professors alike will keep their wands at the ready when the fifth-year student displays the Dark Arts Mask, considering it is an object of clothing famous for those that wield Unforgivable Curses, and the dark magic that is forbidden on Hogwarts grounds, as well as by the Ministry of Magic.
Nevertheless, the Dark Arts Mask is a cool piece of face wear, featuring a half-skull design, and one that has been seen by audiences before thanks to the Dark Arts witches and wizards. For players to obtain the Dark Arts Mask, they will need the Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe edition, or purchase the Dark Arts Set separately from the base game.
2 Niffler Mask
“A Niffler mask, for the sneaky sleuth, earned by finding the thief of Irondale.” If players manage to complete the side quest in Hogwarts Legacy called A Thief in the Night, they will be gifted with this unique mask. This is perfect for those that want to show off their hard-earned rewards, or just for very big fans of the mythical creature known as a Niffler.
It’s a somewhat cute mask, with a large bill. Players can run around Hogwarts with a hidden identity, and perhaps indulge in some mischief with this mask on, pretending to be a true prankster like Peeves, or perhaps worse, if they so choose it.
