High on Life 2 players will have plenty of enemies standing in between them and their mission, but one of your early ones isn’t really an enemy at all: he’s just in the wrong place at the wrong time. As you try to track down Lizzie in the first mission, you need to gain access to the Vet Building, but an unfortunate security guard is in your way, and it might not be clear at first what to do. High on Life 2 Vet Building Key Card: How to Gain The Access Card From the Security Guard
As you follow the main path in the Justin Roiland-free High on Life 2, you’ll encounter a security guard standing in your path on the way to the Vet Building, just like the multiple security guards stopping you from getting into the zoo at the very start of the first quest. But, unlike that earlier moment where you can’t hurt them, you’ll need a different approach here.
You can use Sweezy's Time Bubble ability to get past the guard, but you need his keycard to get further. This is because, past the guard, you’ll find yourself in a small area just outside the entrance to the Vet Building. When you try to open the door on your left, you realize you can’t enter without the key card in the security guard’s possession, and he’s not letting you have it.
Here are your options:
- You can just kill the guard and move on after grabbing the keycard from his corpse. If that makes you feel bad, you can go back and finish him off because your first attack doesn't fully do the job.
- As PC Gamer points out, you could shoot the wall near him to scare him into giving the keycard to you.
- Wait until his dialogue is exhausted and use two lots of dialogue from the same character (both Gus or both Sweezy responses, not one of each) to convince the guard to give you what you need without bloodshed.
It doesn't appear to really matter what option you choose, however, so go with your gut. Whichever option you go for, you’ll be able to press the button that lets you into the building.
