In High on Life 2, the main mission “Kill Billionaire Larry Pinkstock” brings players to a cruise ship murder mystery event. Pinkstock will announce that, unlike regular murder mysteries, this event will involve a real murder: that of Larry himself.
Sure enough, as soon as the lights go out, a gunshot will ring out in the room, and when the lights come back on, it will be revealed that Larry Pinkstock is dead, lying in a pool of blood, and Travis, the Fedora-wearing Gatlian you brought, is the murder weapon. The only question left is: who killed Larry Pinkstock?
What Happens If You Kill Lizzie in High on Life 2?
In High on Life 2, you get the option to kill Lizzie, your sister, or stick to the Bounty Hunter code. Here is what you should do.
How to Solve the Murder of Billionaire Larry Pinkstock in High on Life 2
After the whodunit Murder Mystery starts, you will be able to gather clues from the crime scene and talk to the four suspects present at the murder scene of Larry Pinkstock.
Every clue you gather will be tracked at the table in the middle of the room, where you can view the summary of all gathered clues and the conclusions you have drawn from them.
Solving the murder is NOT mandatory for game progression. Even if you blame the wrong person or select the “Who Cares?” Option when asked who you think was responsible for killing Larry Pinkstock, this mission will still progress to the next part of the game. However, solving the murder perfectly is required to get the “Columbo in Space” trophy/achievement. Due to the way the save system in High on Life 2 works, you cannot reload.
Investigating Larry Pinkstock’s Murder in High on Life 2
Before you start talking to the four suspects, it is best to first gather all the clues in the murder scene. This is because each clue unlocks a unique piece of dialogue with the suspects, where you can ask them about what you’ve found. The full list of clues and where to find them is provided below:

High on Life 2 evolves its chaotic formula with sharper writing, even stronger performances, and some major upgrades across the board.
Who Killed Larry Pinkstock in High on Life 2?
After you’ve gathered all of the clues, talk to each suspect one by one and exhaust their dialogue to reveal the full story. The Suit-o-Assist (the whodunnit? Tally note) on the right side of the screen keeps track of motive (left column), the ability to use the murder weapon (middle column), and the scent Travis smelt when he was used as the murder weapon (left column).
Suspect |
Motive and Means |
Description |
|---|---|---|---|
Admiral Sessions |
Motive: Yes |
Admiral Sessions was being blackmailed by Larry Pinkstock for issuing a military order that ordered the food supply of an entire planet to be cut off, a war crime that would ruin Admiral Sessions if it ever came to light. He had good reason to want Larry eliminated. |
Can Use a Gun?: No |
The military service document for Admiral Sessions showed that he lost his hands in the war, which he later admitted to being true, showing that his current hands were both fake. Despite having plenty of experience with weapons, he could not have used Travis to kill Larry. |
Rosy Perfume?: Yes |
Travis was able to smell a hint of rosy perfume from Admiral Sessions. During the investigation, it is revealed that he had prior relations with O.B. Oberon, and some of her perfume rubbed off on his body. |
Richard Twelfth the Eighth |
Motive: Yes |
Prince Richard and his family were being blackmailed by Larry Pinkstock. Richard had once accidentally killed a drifter with his car, and Larry had a picture in his possession proving it. He used this blackmail to get the royals to do his bidding. |
Can Use a Gun?: No |
Richard the Twelfth is suffering from lung problems as a result of inbreeding that prevents him from being able to handle any type of weaponry, including a gun. |
Rosy Perfume?: No |
Richard the Twelfth did not have any rosy perfume scent on him. |
Edeline Moss |
Motive: Yes |
Edeline Moss was married to Larry Pinkstock sometime in the past, and Larry stole a large part of her wealth when they separated. Edeline had plenty of motive to want him dead. |
Can Use a Gun?: No |
Edeline Moss was suffering from Brittle Bones, a medical condition that made it impossible for her to withstand any heavy impacts without her bones snapping. She could not have used the gun. |
Rosy Perfume?: No |
Edeline Moss did not have any rosy perfume scent on her. |
O.B. Oberon |
Motive: Yes |
O.B. Oberon and her brother were sold to Rhea Pharmaceuticals by Larry Pinkstock when they were children as experimental materials. Her brother died during the process, which means she had ample reason to want Larry dead. |
Can Use a Gun?: Yes |
The first-place trophy of the sharpshooting competition was won by someone named “Jellica Bleems.” On the milk carton, one of the missing persons was Jellica Bleems. During the investigation, it is revealed that O.B. Oberon’s original name was actually Jellica Bleems, which means she definitely knows how to use a ranged weapon. |
Rosy Perfume?: Yes |
O.B. Oberon smelt heavily of rosy perfume, exactly the kind of perfume Travis smelt when he was being used as a murder weapon. |
Admiral Sessions is the red herring in this murder mystery. If you do not have the evidence about his fake hand in your possession, he will not admit to not being able to use a gun. Therefore, the Suit-o-Assist will be ticked in all three columns for him, making some players mistake him for the final culprit.
All four murder suspects had one reason or another for wanting Larry Pinkstock dead, but the only one who fits all three criteria is O.B. Oberon. Once all the clues are gathered and you have talked to all the suspects, interact with the gavel on the table in the middle of the room to declare the culprit for Larry Pinkstock’s murder: O.B. Oberon.
After you announce the murderer, a voice recording of Larry Pinkstock will appear, corroborating your accusation if you are correct, and denying it if you are wrong. It will then be revealed that the Larry Pinkstock who died was actually a clone. The real Larry is still alive. The billionaire will arrive at the main podium in a flash to announce that he is still breathing.
However, as soon as he does so, Kreg Button, the bounty hunter, will throw a spiked chain through the cruise ship’s window, impaling the real Larry Pinkstock, killing him directly. A wave of bounty hunters will jump onto the ship following this, triggering the final part of this mission.
