The High on Life 2 B.A.L.L. Gun is the only weapon you get in the game that isn’t unlocked just by playing through the main story. Returning after making its first appearance in the first game’s High on Knife DLC, this special weapon is unlocked by finding three B.A.L.L. Guy locations in the game’s Circuit Arcadia, Circuit Arcadia Zoo, and Pinkline Harbor hubs.
It’s a fun weapon and certainly worth getting. It’s pinball-themed in the sense that it fires miniature balls that boomerang back to you, with bumpers appearing in the world as you use them. However, you need to have at least progressed the main story as far as getting Bowie, which you get as part of the Finance Wiz James Stevenson bounty mission. So long as you’ve done that, here’s how to get the B.A.L.L. Gun in High on Life 2.

High on Life 2 B.A.L.L. Guy locations
You may have seen the empty chassis of the weapon on top of a tank in your quarters. If you haven’t, it’s to the right of the fridge with your bounty poster on it. If you interact with it, the shell of the B.A.L.L. Gun flops around uselessly, and you’re told you need to find three B.A.L.L. Guys out in the world for it to work. You can get them in any order, too, so long as you've already unlocked Bowie.
With that in mind, here’s how to get all three B.A.L.L. Guys in High on Life 2:
High on Life B.A.L.L. Guy location 1: Circuit Arcadia
Start your search by heading to the central fast travel point in Circuit Arcadia, Downtown. Head north and up a level as far as a guy standing in front of a broken taxi. This is Clutch, and he needs you to deliver five customers to their destinations on time as his vehicle is out of action.
Now, you basically play a spoof of Crazy Taxi: roam around Downtown and look for people with flag symbols above their heads. At this point, you need to deliver them to their destinations within the time limit. If you don’t, they die. However, this happened to us once, but it didn’t prevent us from getting the B.A.L.L. Guy. Just try your best not to fail too many times.
If you’re an achievement hunter, you should let at least one customer die so you can get ‘Fare Thee Well.’ With the customer’s corpse in your Taxiball, take them to a green cubicle, with one being a little further north from Clutch, or left of Clutch as you’re looking at him. Then, flush the corpse down the toilet. Yes, really.
Once you’ve completed five taxi rides, return to Clutch, and he’ll give you one last job before he gives you the B.A.L.L. Guy: deliver him to Rhea Pharmaceuticals. You’ve got a generous time limit for this one, so get it done, and he’ll give you one of your three blue guys.
High on Life B.A.L.L. Guy location 2: Pinkline Harbor
The next one can be claimed in Pinkline Harbor’s nightclub, ‘Liquid Nights,’ but you’ll need to have unlocked Bowie to get in. Use his Trick Shot above the door to access the area immediately outside the club, and defeat the Good Guys that attack you there.
With them down, the bouncer will let you in. The B.A.L.L. Guy is on a counter in front of the DJ, so bear slightly right as you walk in and head across the dance floor to get there.
However, first, you will need to complete a rhythm mini-game before you can take your blue collectible away. It’s essentially Dance Dance Revolution, but with QTE button prompts. It’s unclear the minimum you need to pass the challenge, but we got over 200,000.
If your moves are slick enough, you’ll be given your B.A.L.L. Guy as a reward.
High on Life B.A.L.L. Guy location 3: Circuit Arcadia Zoo
While this B.A.L.L. Guy is available in Circuit Arcadia Zoo, you’ll need a fishing rod first. You can get this by heading to Pinkline Harbor’s beach, which looks out at the Pinkline Panacea cruise ship.
The fisherman you get the rod from tells you his boat sank and that he needs your help retrieving it. Use Travis’ Trick Shot ability to do this, which is the particularly chatty gun you got as part of the Larry Pinkstock murder mystery mission. Once you’ve done this, the fisherman will give you your fishing rod, the artfully named ‘Rod’.
Next, take Rod to the south-east corner of Circuit Arcadia Zoo. In the fishing spot, there are eight unique fish to capture, one of which is a B.A.L.L. Guy. You can see the unique fish you haven’t captured yet by the sparkle above them.
You’ll get the ‘Tanks for the Memories’ achievement by collecting all 37 unique fish to put in the aquarium in your quarters, which is opposite the RV where you fast travel to missions. The Circuit Arcadia Zoo fishing spot is one of eight, with another two being in the zoo, three on Pinkline Harbor beach, and two in Circuit Arcadia, Downtown. These areas are marked on your map with dolphin symbols when you get near them.
You’ll be given the button prompts to cast and reel in fish in the bottom-right corner of your screen. When the fish is nearly caught, you’ll need to press the given button prompt, then try to keep the dolphin symbol inside the green circle that appears in front of you. Keep trying until you’ve got another B.A.L.L. Guy.
Once you’ve got all three of the little blue guys, return to the tank next to the fridge in your quarters to put your optional gun together. You’ll also get the ‘B.A.L.L. In the Family’ achievement.
