Fans of Hi-Fi Rush will be interested to know that the rhythm action game may be getting some new content, according to some additional achievements that might be inbound. While director Shinji Mikami is known for making horror games, playing a pivotal role in the early days of Resident Evil, his studio Tango Gameworks decided to go in a slightly different direction by releasing a music-based platformer with Saturday morning cartoon vibes.

As spotted by Reddit user GGP3, Hi-Fi Rush could be about to receive 10 new achievements, according to an update on SteamDB, a website that chronicles all things related to Steam. The database shows that the most recent recorded update for the game on Steam happend on June 2, so it's very new information. As it stands, there's been no confirmation of what, if anything, this means, and the 10 achievements are all simply called "TBA." It certainly seems like there's going to be a patch that will introduce these extra achievements, which in turn means that Hi-Fi Rush could be getting some new content.

While the initial hype for Tango's game has died down now, Hi-Fi Rush has received some updates, including one that implemented a photo mode. If the comments in GGP3's Reddit thread are anything to go by, there are fans in the community who would be excited to see more content for the game, with user yanshio theorizing that there could be confirmation at the Xbox Showcase on June 11.

While the rhythm game genre has not enjoyed much attention since the heyday of Guitar Hero and Rock Band, there are a few select releases that have helped keep music-based gaming alive. Along with Hi-Fi Rush, fans of the genre were also intrigued by The Outsiders' Metal: Hellsinger, a recent game that took the fast-paced onslaught and metal soundtrack of Doom and turned the concept into a violent and entertaining rhythm action title.
