Hello Neighbor 2: How To Escape The Museum (Key Location)

At some point while exploring the Museum in Hello Neighbor 2, players will figure out how to reach the attic and save Aaron Peterson from his father, the Neighbor. Upon getting caught and locked inside the same cage Aaron was trapped in, Quentin must solve the puzzle to open the cage’s door.

Sadly, this won’t free the main protagonist from the clutch of the Neighbor. Players will have to collect various items around the Museum and use them correctly to successfully escape the Museum in Hello Neighbor 2.

How To Escape The Museum In Hello Neighbor 2

To escape the Museum in Hello Neighbor 2, Quentin needs to escape the cage and find the key to unlock the main door.

How To Escape The Cage

Once the Neighbor throws Quentin inside the cage, the gate’s lock will reset, and the protagonist must search for clues inside to open it. The first clue is the board game on the ground that has a purple number 5 and a green number 7.

Next, circle around the curtain and approach the desk beside the bed to grab the scissors then look at the red number 0.

Look right to see the final two numbers; a blue number 2 can be found on the bed headboard and an orange number 3 on the curtain.

Approach the gate and use the scissors to cut the spider webs. It’s now possible to enter the password by matching each number to its color, the password is 75203. However, it’s not that simple since the lock is upside down. This means the players must match the colored number as if they’re standing on the other side. In short, enter 31869 to make it appear as 75203, opening the cage door.

Before exiting, don’t forget to grab the lever from the statue's hand near the gate.

Where To Find The Key To Unlock The Main Door

The key that unlocks the main door’s lock is inside the fireplace on the first floor across from the locked door. Before grabbing the key, a couple of items must be collected while avoiding the Neighbor and the traps on the ground; the wrench, the fire extinguisher, and the crowbar.

The Wrench

It’s a bit complicated to get the wrench, as players have to approach the Neighbor discreetly while crouching to avoid getting caught. Similar to the second Act in Hello Neighbor 2, wait for the Neighbor to turn around and take the wrench out of his pockets.

The Fire Extinguisher

From the main area on the first floor, head to the door on the right side of the staircases. Turn to the left upon entering to see a red box that contains the fire extinguisher. Use the wrench to open the box.

The Crowbar

Return to the main room then head to the left side and the crowbar will be displayed inside the glass. Use the fire extinguisher to break it and collect the tool.
