TinyBuild has announced a sequel to the popular horror game Hello Neighbor in the form of Hello Neighbor 2Hello Neighbor 2 was announced with a trailer showcasing a brand new tale, a new villain, and the return to the same haunted house seen in all the entries of the popular yet critically panned horror franchise.

Announced on the Summer Games Fest as part of the week long Xbox focused events and the pre-show to the Xbox Games Showcase, Hello Neighbor 2 looks to bring the scares in a much bigger scale compared to the original. It brings players back to Raven Brooks as a local journalist investigating missing persons reports. The player's investigation leads them back to the abandoned house of The Neighbor where the scares begin again with a new occupant of the home that will antagonize the player.

Recently acquired by publisher TinyBuild, Hello Neighbor 2 is being developed Eerie Guest Studios (formerly Dynamic Pixels). TinyBuild made a major financial investment in the Hello Neighbor IP with plans to expand it into multiple media properties. The series has seen multiple entries since its inception including a multiplayer focused sequel called Secret Neighbor.

As with the first game, Hello Neighbor 2 has the player sneaking inside the house and exploring the dungeon inside. The goal still being to try to avoid the occupant of the home, solve some puzzles, and make it out alive. The house looks to be filled with more dread and spookier visuals, surprising the player at every corner with the same intense game play the series is known for. The game series has seen its share of bizarre additions during development so expect the sequel to change things up in similar ways.

Hello Neighbor 2 will be launching on Xbox One and Xbox Series X and support Smart Delivery on launch day. This means fans will only have to be purchase the game once on the Microsoft family of consoles and play anywhere beyond that. No word on if the content of the new game will be included in the new Hello Neighbor card game also recently announced to release this year.

Hello Neighbor 2 will launch in 2021 for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
