A clever Helldivers 2 player has demonstrated a series of tricks that prove that the newly added Warp Pack Stratagem is one of the most powerful tools that players can wield. The Warp Pack was added to the Helldivers 2 arsenal on July 17, 2025, alongside other items in the most recent wave of premium DLC for the game.
Among the major live service game releases of the last few years, Helldivers 2 sets itself apart from its peers by having a somewhat unusual model for monetization. Leading multiplayer live service games like Fortnite typically sell only cosmetic DLC to avoid upsetting in-game balance. By contrast, Helldivers 2 regularly sells new "War Bond" DLC packs that include new weapons, Stratagems, and armor alongside cosmetic capes, titles, helmets and emotes. These DLC packs can add significant new capabilities for players compared to the items available in the base game.

In fact, the recently released Control Group War Bond DLC includes what might be the most consequential addition in a long while, if a demonstration by player -REXIA- is anything to go by. In a clip shared with the Helldivers 2 Reddit community, -REXIA- showed off a series of stunts that show off why the Warp Pack is "S-Tier" among available Stratagems. The clip showed -REXIA- using the Warp Pack to blink in and out of a variety of deadly situations, including instantly warping out of a moving vehicle's turret, jumping off the edge of a building and warping back to safety, and warping out of the way of a dangerous enemy's charge.

Players remarked that while the Warp Pack is a powerful and surprisingly convenient Helldivers 2 item, it does require practice and finesse to use effectively. For example, the pack has a five-second cooldown on "safe" warps, as using the pack's function too often will cause it to explode and kill the wearer. However, with the right timing, players can even warp the pack itself to a friend by unequipping the pack right as they trigger a warp, moving it quickly to someone who might need it.
Players praised -REXIA- for compiling the tricks and helping readers through the method of properly utilizing the pack, but some voiced concerns about the potential of the new Stratagem to "unbalance" play. Some already consider the Warp Pack essential to Helldivers 2 solo queuing, and wonder whether Arrowhead might want to weaken it in the future. Some replied by saying that the Warp Pack is balanced out by its high skill ceiling and extremely long cooldown, as well as the fact that wearing it displaces many equally useful packs like the Supply Pack or powerful weapons like the Autocannon or Recoilless Rifle.
