Tips For Earning The 'Hold My Primary, I'm Going in!' Trophy In Helldivers 2

Players in Helldivers 2 have a primary and a secondary weapon, along with several powerful offensive and defensive Stratagems. While most players rely on their primary weapons on the battlefield, that is not the case if you want to unlock the 'Hold My Primary, I'm Going in!' Trophy. For this achievement, you need to complete a mission on Hard difficulty without any of your teammates using their primary or support weapons.

Some mission types are going to be next to impossible for this kind of objective, so your best bet is to aim for a shorter objective-based mission type. A tried-and-tested method is to play the Blitz mission on Hard difficulty because of its quick nature and limited time.

The main task in a Blitz mission is to destroy Automaton Fabricators or Terminid Bug Holes, which are indicated by red marks on the map. These Fabricators/Bug Holes can continuously spawn new enemies, making it difficult for the players to complete the mission.

Using your Grenades will not interfere with the Trophy, so make use of these quick explosives!

You will need to quickly take these Fabricators/Bug Holes down by using offensive stratagems like Eagle 110MM Rocket Pods, Eagle Airstrikes, and Orbital Lasers. Always switch to your secondary weapon at the beginning of the mission to avoid accidentally firing your primary weapon.

The best sidearm to equip for approaching a Blitz mission for this Trophy is typically the P-2 Peacemaker, since it'll help clear away the smaller, pesky enemies that can easily overwhelm you while you're on the move. It can't do much against more heavily armored opposition, but you'll generally want to avoid drawn-out firefights entirely, relying on your Stratagems to accomplish the mission. Always stay on the move, prioritizing closing Bot Fabricators and Bug Holes, and you'll complete the mission in no time.

Once you have eliminated the requisite Automaton Fabricators or Terminid Bug Holes, you can push for extraction, but really, you simply need to reach the 'Mission Completed' Screen — if you run out of lives before you're able to extract, you'll still earn the Trophy.
