How to Get the HMG Emplacement in Helldivers 2
The HMG Emplacement is a Stratagem that can be purchased for 10,000 Requisition Slips once players reach Level 10. Once both requirements have been met, head to the Ship Management and purchase the HMG Emplacement under the Bridge section of Stratagems.
Once acquired, the E/MG-101 HMG Emplacement can be found in your Loadout under the Defensive Stratagems, called in with the Stratagem Code: Down, Up, Left, Right, Right, Left. There are unlimited uses for the HMG Emplacement, with a 4.75-second call-in time and a cooldown of 154 seconds before you can call in another.
How to Use the HMG Emplacement in Helldivers 2
The HMG Emplacement is a turret that needs to be manually mounted and controlled by the player. While slow to turn, the HMG Emplacement has Heavy Armor Penetrating rounds that make it great at killing most targets. However, it should be used to focus on crowd control and lightly armored targets, as the ammunition is limited to 300 rounds.
The HMG Emplacement works best against Terminid swarms due to their dense numbers and squishy armor that is easily penetrated by the turret. If you have a Personal Order to use the HMG Emplacement, we recommend the Eradicate Terminid Swarm mission, which is a small area in which you fight endless waves of Terminids.
