Cyberstan and Automaton Megafactories present a new kind of challenge for players in Helldivers 2. Much like the cave missions against Terminids, attacking bot factory worlds demands that players adapt to their environment. Anti-air guns are everywhere, and so are the minions of tyranny, and one can only do so much when multiple Automaton legions are dropping in to protect their property.
The following is a Cyberstan loadout tips guide for Helldivers 2 meant to help players understand how to make Automaton Megafactory missions a little easier. We'll be using content from all the Warbonds here, but we'll also be highlighting new-player-friendly options for those who haven't purchased anything yet.
Helldivers 2: All Warbonds, Ranked
Here are all of the Warbonds in Helldivers 2, ranked according to practicality to help players figure out which ones to get first.
Best Cyberstan Loadouts in Helldivers 2
If you're taking the fight to Cyberstan or any Automaton Megafactory, you need to consider pretty much every threat that the bots can throw at you. There's going to be plenty of everything, from light troopers to Cyborgs, Hulks, tanks, Gunships, and Vox Engines. With that said, you need to have ways to deal with both crowds and heavy armor. We strongly recommend bringing at least a medium-pen primary weapon, as these can help you destroy Gunships and turrets without a support weapon.
Pick and choose from any of the following recommendations when building your Cyberstan loadout in Helldivers 2.
Best Primary Weapons
|
Weapon |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Liberator Penetrator |
Light and snappy; good for taking out multiple infantry units quickly and preventing calls for reinforcements. |
|
Coyote |
Has higher DPS than the Liberator Penetrator, and the extra fire damage helps a lot when fighting Cyborgs. |
|
Scorcher |
Great all-around weapon, but ammo economy might be a problem. |
|
Purifier |
Has much better ammo efficiency and single-shot damage output than the Scorcher. |
|
Plasma Punisher |
Deals good AoE damage and can two-shot medium infantry. |
|
Exploding Crossbow/Eruptor |
Both are excellent at dealing with medium infantry units like Cyborgs and Devastators. |
|
Trident |
Chews through lightly-armored enemies. This is arguably the best weapon to use for revealing Vox Engine vents. |
You can bring any primary weapon in Helldivers 2 and still win matches, but we found that the ones above are great for alleviating pressure on you and your team, especially if you're playing on Super Helldive difficulty. We recommend medium-pen weapons just in case there are Gunships in your mission; expect to die a lot when attacking a Megafactory, so it's a good idea to have a non-support weapon that can take Gunships out reliably.
Best Secondary Weapons
|
Weapon |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Redeemer |
Excellent against lightly-armored Instigators and Berserkers who like to rush into melee range. |
|
Bushwhacker |
Same as the Redeemer; this triple-barreled shotgun can scrap most infantry units with a full blast. |
|
Senator |
Great for popping Hulks in a pinch, provided your aim is good enough. |
|
Loyalist |
A pocket Purifier that's generally good against all medium armor and clustered groups of units. |
|
Verdict |
Heavy-caliber pistol that penetrates medium armor. Decent pick for all scenarios. |
|
Crisper |
Flamethrower pistol that can melt heavy armor. |
|
Ultimatum |
The ultimate emergency sidearm for when something big needs to disappear. |
Best Grenades & Throwables
- Smoke Grenades will help you disengage from big bot drops.
- Thermite Grenades can destroy all heavily-armored units, including Vox Engines.
- Contact Grenades are great for dealing with clustered enemies, turrets, and tanks.
-
Anything with a fuse is good if you want to target Vox Engine or Fabricator vents.
- Dynamite is recommended. Otherwise, use standard frag/HE grenades.
Fit the 9 games into the grid.
Best Armor Passives
Your choice of armor perk in Helldivers 2 mostly boils down to personal preference. If you're looking for recommendations, here are ours:
- Siege Ready can help you keep up with the Automaton hordes via its reload speed and max ammo bonuses.
- Fortified reduces incoming explosive damage, which is great when there are multiple Vox Engines and War Striders on the field.
- Med-Kit will keep you alive for longer with its improved Stim duration and capacity.
- Extra Padding bumps your survivability up by one armor tier without impacting your stamina.
- Rock Solid will prevent you from getting tossed around by heavy impacts and weak explosions.
Best Support Weapons
|
Weapon |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Laser Cannon |
Good for all medium-armored targets and light infantry. |
|
Railgun |
Good for popping weakspots like Hulk eyes and Gunship engines. Tears through Cyborgs and Devastators too without hampering your mobility. |
|
Grenade Launcher |
The best support weapon for dealing with big crowds in tight spaces. Great for dealing with some heavy units as well. |
|
Recoilless Rifle |
The go-to anti-tank solution for dealing with big blobs of War Striders and Hulks. Decent against Vox Engines. |
|
Leveller |
Deletes everything in a sizable area (though one shot is not enough to destroy Vox Engines). |
|
Solo Silo |
Works like a long-ranged Leveller. Unable to one-shot Vox Engines. |
|
Portable Hellbomb |
Blows up everything in an area, including Vox Engines if detonated directly below them. |
|
C4 Pack |
Great against all heavily-armored targets. |
|
Supply Pack |
Perfect if you're using a Grenade Launcher or Railgun, or if you rely a lot on your grenades for damage. |
|
Shield Generator Pack |
Bubble shield will keep you from getting ragdolled or instantly killed. |
Best Stratagems
|
Stratagem |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Orbital Gatling Barrage |
Neutralizes bot drops and can destroy Vox Engines if it hits them enough times. |
|
Orbital Gas Strike |
Also good for neutralizing enemy reinforcements the moment they arrive. Causes mass confusion among big groups of enemies too. |
|
Orbital Precision Strike |
Good for objectives that require demolition. Works well against heavy units in a pinch too. |
|
Orbital Laser |
Sweeps through hordes of small enemies. Loses efficiency when heavy units are on the field, however. |
|
Shield Generator Relay |
Provides a temporary safe zone; good for defending objectives, but crumbles easily when there are too many enemies on the field. Works well with Emplacement stratagems. |
|
Sentry Guns |
Any of the sentry guns can do a lot of work in Cyberstan, provided you can put them in advantageous positions. |
|
Hot Dog Rover |
The Hot Dog from the Python Commandos Warbond can melt heavily-armored units with its flamethrower, lifting some pressure off you and your team. |
|
Bastion Tank |
The Bastion can do some serious damage, but it requires a skilled driver and good coordination between teammates. |
|
Anti-Tank Mines |
Softens up conga lines of heavy units. Mines can soften up Vox Engines as well. |
Most Megafactory missions are littered with anti-air guns that will limit the use of Eagle stratagems. You can still bring your favorite airstrikes, but you need to be very wary of the AA guns.
