How to Find Starfall Shards in Heartopia

Starfall Shards are fragments of fallen meteors that only appear on Onsen Mountain during a Meteor Shower. You won’t find them during normal days in Heartopia, so timing is everything.
To check when the next Meteor Shower is happening, open your smartwatch and tap the weather icon in the top corner. When you see a moon surrounded by stars, you’ll know a meteor shower is scheduled for that night.
When the meteor shower begins, Starfall Shard nodes appear all across Onsen Mountain. These nodes do not respawn, and there are only nine per event. Here are a few locations to look for Starfall Shards in Heartopia:
|
Northeast Beach |
Travel to the northwest side of Onsen Mountain and follow the shoreline closely. |
|---|---|
|
Ruins Area |
Inside the Ruins on Onsen Mountain, head toward the capybara feeding trough. |
|
South of Onsen Mountain Lake |
Make your way to Crater Lake and carefully climb down the cliffs just south of the water. |
|
Southwest Corner Path |
Follow the path to Lot Five, far away from the mountain resort area. |
|
South of the Old Sea Islet |
Walk along the shoreline south of the Old Sea Islet. |
|
Central Mountain Cliffs |
Near the center of Onsen Mountain, look up toward the cliffs that overlook the hot springs. |
|
Southeast Path Fork |
In the southeast portion of the mountain, locate the fork in the path near the lake. |
|
Eastern Hills |
Head to Lot Eight in the eastern hills and climb the surrounding cliffs. |
|
Stone Cliff Shoreline Path |
Follow the eastern shoreline road along the Stone Cliff area. |
For each Starfall Shard node you mine, you’ll get three to four pieces of the corresponding color shard. Starfall Shards come in multiple colors, but not every Meteor Shower includes all of them. The available colors include white, red, yellow, green, blue, and purple.
You can spend Starfall Shards to buy special items from Doris, the special vendor who only appears during Meteor Showers, rainbow and Rain.
