The Winter Frost Event in Heartopia brings some of the most visually stunning limited-time creatures to the game, and the Frostspore Postman Butterfly is the newest addition to the line up. Like other Frostspore insects, it carries the Frostspore infection.

How to Unlock & Catch the Frostspore Postman Butterfly

To begin your hunt, you first need to talk to Naniwa and select the “Mysterious Frostspore Butterflies” option from the dialogue menu. This starts the Frostspore Butterfly Event and enables all Frostspore butterflies to spawn across the Forest areas.

Make sure you’re at Insect Hobby Level 2 or higher and have equipped tools like the Insect Perfume and Sense Booster to help you catch the Frostspore Postman Butterfly easily.

The Frostspore Postman Butterfly does not spawn immediately. Instead, you’ll need to actively participate in the event and catch as many Frostspore butterflies as possible. The goal is to trigger a swarm state, similar to how the Frostspore Shark mechanics work.

Once the event begins, do not stop catching butterflies until the event timer drops. The more you catch, the faster the swarm escalates.

Instead of long-pressing the insect catcher, tap repeatedly. This method prolongs the catching window and increases your success rate.

When you successfully trigger the swarm, you’ll receive a system message stating: “Looks like a new butterfly has shown up. Please rest and proceed to the Forest Island.” This triggers the Scout (Transfer Camp) phase of the event.

Once you see this notification, head directly to Truffle Island. This is the only place where you’ll find the Frostspore Portman Butterfly. Look for a red, crimson-colored butterfly with an icy glow. The deep red color separates it from the other Winter Frostspore Butterflies, so it’s difficult to miss once it spawns.

After catching it, do not leave immediately. Continue catching additional Frostspore butterflies until the event timer ends, as multiple spawns and better star ratings are possible during the same session.

During the Frostspore Butterfly Event, you can also catch other Frostspore Butterflies alongside the Frostspore Postman Butterfly. These include the Frostspore Mother-of-Pearl, Frostspore Purple Spotted Swallowtail, and others.
