All Onsen Egg Locations in Heartopia
Here's a step-by-step guide to locating and photographing all 16 eggs in Heartopia's Onsen Egg Promise quest.
Where to Find Winter Insects in Heartopia
During the Winter Frost Event, the only winter insects available are Frostspore Butterflies, which become accessible through a special quest. To unlock them, you’ll need to speak with Naniwa, Heartopia’s insect-catching mentor. In the chat menu, select the “Mysterious Frostspore Butterflies” option.
Naniwa explains that several butterfly species have been infected by Frostspore, giving them a magical icy glow and making them rare catching targets. Once this quest begins, Frostspore Butterflies will start spawning across specific forest locations.
You’ll need Insect Hobby Level 1 or higher to catch the Frostspore Butterflies, although some five-star variants may require Level 6+. One of the best things about Frostspore Butterflies is that they spawn during all weather conditions and at all times of day, so you don’t need to wait for a specific time window to catch them.
All Winter Butterflies and Their Locations
Frostspore Mother-of-Pearl
The Frostspore Mother-of-Pearl is a soft pink butterfly, with a pearly and icy sheen. Its wings almost look like frosted glass. You can find this butterfly near the Jump Puzzle area in the Forest. It’s one of the easier Frostspore variants to find.
Frostspore Purple Spotted Swallowtail
The Purple Spotted Swallowtail stands out with its deep violet and indigo wings. You can find this variant in the Spirit Oak Pine Forest, near the lake. Its bright colors make it stand out against the snowy surroundings, so keep an eye out while exploring the area.
Frostspore Queen Alexandra’s Birdwing
The Queen Alexandra’s Birdwing is the most eye-catching Frostspore butterfly. Its wings feature a vibrant turquoise-green base with black edging and icy highlights. You can find this butterfly floating around the borders of the Forest Lake near the Deer Tower.
Frostspore Sulkowsky’s Morpho
The Sulkowsky’s Morpho has a cool, icy blue and cyan appearance. It looks even more frosted compared to the others. You can find this butterfly near Forest Lake, close to Deer Tower.
There is another deep crimson Frostspore Butterfly that unlocks on February 14, during the Frostspore Butterfly Event.
