Here's a step-by-step guide to locating and photographing all 16 eggs in Heartopia's Onsen Egg Promise quest.
Where to Find Winter Birds in Heartopia

The good news is that winter birds are some of the easiest event creatures to find. As long as the Winter Frost Event is active, you can start searching right away.
All winter birds spawn around the Suburban Lakes, which are the large, circular water areas visible on the map. If you’re not sure where to start, look for the biggest lake near the suburban housing area. This entire zone acts as a shared spawn location for all winter bird types.
One of the best things about winter birds is how flexible their spawn requirements are. You can find them all day and during any weather as long as the Winter Frost Event is active.
If you don’t spot a bird right away, keep moving around the lake. Some birds fly off or relocate, so checking multiple angles helps.
All Winter Birds and Their Locations in Heartopia
Winter Mallard
The Winter Mallard is easy to recognize thanks to the tiny hat it wears. You’ll usually find it floating directly in the water at the Suburban lake. It doesn’t wander too far, so it’s easy to find.
Winter Greater Flamingo
This bird stands out with a small scarf wrapped around its neck. The Winter Greater Flamingo tends to move around more than the others and may fly off if you get too close. If you don’t see it immediately, circle the lake slowly and check open areas.
Winter Smew
The Winter Smew wears a cute pink hat and can often be found in quieter sections of the lake.
If your house is in a suburban area and close to the lake, you can try finding it here.
Winter Eurasian Wigeon
The Winter Eurasian Wigeon also spawns around the suburban lakes and behaves similarly to the Mallard. It stays close to the water and doesn’t require any special tricks to find.
