Birdwatching is not the first hobby you unlock in Heartopia, but once you do, it quickly becomes one of the most relaxing activities in the game. Birdwatching gives you a reason to slow down and explore different parts of the world while searching for adorable birds.
Photographing new birds is always worth the effort, as it gives you a good amount of proficiency points and helps fill out your collection. One bird that many players struggle to find is the Eurasian Wigeon. It tends to appear in unexpected locations, which makes it easy to miss. If the Eurasian Wigeon has been avoiding you, here’s where to look.
Where to Find Mussel in Heartopia
Mussels are a rare catch in Heartopia. Here’s how you can find them.
Eurasian Wigeon Location in Heartopia
To unlock the Eurasian Wigeon, you first need to reach Birdwatching level two. Once you hit that level, the bird will start spawning in your world. The Eurasian Wigeon can now be found across most rivers in Heartopia, as it's not tied to any specific biome. This means you should explore the Tranquil River, Shallow River, and Giantwood River.
Open your map, travel to a river, and walk along the water while keeping an eye out for it. If you don’t see one right away, keep moving along the riverbank. And if it still doesn’t appear, try a different river. We had the best luck at the Shallow River near Onsen Mountain. But don't stress, as the Eurasian Wigeon is a common bird, so with a little patience, Heartopians should find it without too much trouble.
While the Eurasian Wigeon will spawn at any time of day and in sunny, rainy, or rainbow weather, players will need to be careful on the approach. The Eurasian Wigeon is skittish, and getting too close will see it fly away. Therefore, you should keep your distance and use the zoom-in function to capture a photograph.
Birds can have unique poses, so the rarer the pose, the more stars you will earn!
After taking photos, you can head over to Bailey J. At the Bird Ringing Station and give her the info cards. In return, she will reward you with items like Timber and Repair Kits.
During the Winter event, a special Winter Eurasian Wigeon also appears in rivers and lakes. Don’t mix it up with the regular one. It’s an event-exclusive bird and stands out because it has a scarf around its neck to match the winter theme.
