How to Catch a Frostspore Butterfly in Heartopia
To begin the quest to catch Frostspore Butterflies, speak with Naniwa and, in the chat menu, select the Mysterious Frostspore Butterflies option. Naniwa explains that some butterflies have been infected by Frostspore, and their unique beauty makes them perfect catching targets.
To find Frostspore Butterflies, head to the Forest Lake Area during any weather. This is the only area where Frostspore Butterflies will spawn, and there are a multitude of different variants:
- Frostspore Mother-of-Pearl
- Frostspore Purple Spotted Swallowtail
- Frostspore Queen Alexandra’s Birdwing
- Frostspore Sulkowsky’s Morpho
Once you reach the Forest Lake area, equip the insect net and start looking around. Frostspore Butterflies stand out because of their bright colors, so keep an eye out for pink, purple, green, or blue butterflies flying nearby. With a bit of luck, players should spot one pretty quickly.
For the quest, you only need to catch one Frostspore Butterfly, and it can be any variant. In our experience, these butterflies can appear in all kinds of weather. We checked the area during a Meteor Shower and found the Mother-of-Pearl variant without any trouble. You also don’t need a high insect-catching level for this. Since you only have to catch a single butterfly, the quest is fairly easy and shouldn’t take long to complete.
After catching a Frostspore Butterfly, players should head back to Naniwa and talk to him. He will warn you to be careful since the butterfly is infected and mention that he plans to build a private villa to keep it isolated. Once the conversation ends, the Mysterious Frostspore Butterfly quest will be completed.
