Heartopia Aurora Borealis Event, Explained
The Aurora Borealis is a special weather event in Heartopia. The developers have described the event as “a cosmic romance” and it first appeared at 18:00 (server time) on February 1, 2026.
Once active, players who log into Heartopia during the event will be able to see the aurora borealis illuminating the sky. The effect is purely visual, creating a calm and dreamlike atmosphere throughout certain areas of the game. It’s the perfect opportunity to take a bunch of cool photos with your friends in Heartopia.
You can easily check whether the Aurora Borealis weather event is currently happening by using your watch. When the event is active, the weather system will display a special graphic on the weather chart labeled “Aurora.” This makes it clear that the aurora is present and visible in the sky. The event begins at 6:00 PM server time. If you don’t want to miss it, you need to log in to Heartopia during the evening.
Where to See the Aurora Borealis in Heartopia
The Aurora Borealis can be seen near Onsen Mountain Lake, making it one of the best spots to visit during the event in Heartopia. You can actually see the aurora change colors, from a beautiful pink to green. The color changes are slow and smooth, encouraging players to pause, look up, and truly take in the moment.
Unlike other weather events in Heartopia, the Aurora Borealis is only a cosmetic event. There are currently no unique fish, collectible items, NPC shops, or special characters associated with it.
It’s possible that there may be a hidden or secret achievement tied to the Aurora Borealis. However, at the time of writing, nothing is confirmed. We’ll make sure to update this guide as we discover anything helpful about this unique weather event in the game.
