These birds appear dressed for the cold with charming accessories like hats, scarves, and winter caps. While most Winter Birds are easy to find, a few rare variants only appear during specific event phases. Photographing all Winter Birds is a surefire way to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the activities in the Winter Frost Event. This guide has been updated with all the information about the Winter Birds in Heartopia.

How to Unlock Birdwatching in Heartopia

Birdwatching isn’t available right away and requires some early progression. The hobby becomes accessible as part of the Developer Level 6 questline. Once you reach this level, you’ll be directed to Bailey J. During your conversation, Bailey J. Introduces the birdwatching system. You’ll then be asked to speak with the other hobby mentors before choosing your next hobby. You need to give Bailey J. The Hobby Expansion Ticket to unlock Birdwatching.

After unlocking this hobby, you can begin your Birdwatching journey in Heartopia and start photographing these little creatures around the valley. At the time of writing, there are around 60 birds in the game. Here’s where you can find them.

The Winter Frost Season also introduces festive bird variants. Most Winter Birds are familiar species dressed for the cold, making them easy to recognize once you know what to look for. These birds only appear during the Winter Frost Season.

To find these birds, you need to interact with the Birdwatching device set up by Bailey J., which starts the Winter Birdwatching Event. During the event, all winter birds will start spawning around the Suburban Lake.
