Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos' massive map has a lot of hidden little plants, seeds, Wisps, towns, NPCs, and other things to find. In order to get a good number of Wisps and reach all the little nooks and crannies that hold these secrets, players will need to be able to get across water. There are several little islands, completely surrounded by a pond or lake, that have Power Wisps, fruit trees, and other desirable items on them. But in order to reach them, players of this relaxing video game will have to wait.

How to Get Across Water

In order to get across the water in Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos, players will have to wait until a new season. For some islands, when it gets cold enough, the waters will freeze, allowing them to walk to ride to get to the islands in Winter. For some islands, the water will recede when the weather is warmer due to changes in rainfall. Check the maps as the season changes; they will display a path when it becomes available to walk across.

Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos has four seasons, so players might need to wait up to 84 days to get to these prizes. However, since the in-game days of Winds of Anthos are notably shorter than most other HM days, it won't be as long of a wait as some might think. The problem is trying to remember where all these water-locked islands are from month to month.

How to Place Markers on the Map

To find these things again later on in the game, players would do well to place a map marker. Thankfully, this is pretty easy to do in Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos. Just press the map button, then hover over the location to mark on the map with the cursor. Press the interact button, which will change depending on the system players are on. Unfortunately, players can only place one marker on the map at one time, which will limit the number of locations they can track in this Stardew Valley-like game.

As of this writing, there isn't any other way to track collectibles, like interactable maps or other tools. However, there is always the hope for such tools to pop up in the future. Until then, players will just have to do their best to remember those locations they want to fast travel to as soon as the next season rolls around.

Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos is available for PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and is coming soon to PC.
