Since Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos is an open world life/farming simulation game, it can take a while to go anywhere. To complicate travel and exploration further, the day/night cycle in Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos is unforgivingly short. As if that wasn't enough, stamina gets consumed simply by walking. As such, players need to plan accordingly if they plan to do basically anything.

As bad as this sounds, it does get easier later on. While the above systems are certainly frustrating, they can be mitigated by using fast travel. Here is how players can fast travel in Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos.

How to Unlock Fast Travel

Just like with many features in Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos, fast traveling is one that players do not start out with. Since there is a lot that players can do in this game, it makes sense to slowly introduce mechanics rather than having them all available at once.

If players follow the story and don't spend too much time doing other things, they can expect to unlock fast travel sometime around the last week of Spring or first week of Summer. At one point, the Harvest Goddess will appear before players and explain the purpose of the small statues that they've been encountering up to that point. These small statues that look like the Harvest Goddess are how players can utilize fast travel.

Scattered throughout the world, players will find more of these statues. By interacting with one, it will activate that spot as a fast travel point. In addition, the map for that area gets filled out as well. This makes navigating the open world much easier since players will be able to see where they are on the mini-map.

How to Fast Travel

In order to fast travel, open the map and move the cursor to one of the statues that have been found and activated. Press the 'X' button on the PlayStation controller to fast travel to that location. Thankfully, time does not advance when players fast travel. So if it is 10 AM when players fast travel, it will still be 10 AM when they arrive at their destination. It also doesn't cost anything to fast travel, so players can make use of this feature as much as they wish.

Since finding the statues makes it easier for players to get around while also revealing more of the map, players will want to go out of their way to unlock as many of these statues as possible. Especially since it will allow them to quickly get back to their house.

Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos is available now on Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
