FromSoftware is one of the biggest game developers around right now. The success story of this studio is incredible, initially making waves upon waves of underrated and unknown action titles before deciding to develop Demons' Souls, and the rest is history. Ever since the release of Dark Souls, FromSoftware is a name most people know by heart, with the studio developing a string of excellent titles that used the Souls formula to great effect.
To this day, many people consider Bloodborne to be the greatest game made by this developer. The gothic and Lovecraftian setting is a joy to behold, with the combat being more frenetic and fast-paced than ever before. Fighting one of the many hunters in Bloodborne can prove to be quite challenging, with the toughest encounters of the bunch being mentioned below.
7 The Beast Claw Hunter
The Beast Claw is one of the best and fastest weapons in the entire game. One of the hunters in the Hunter's Nightmare shows just how powerful this weapon is when used correctly, making him a tough cookie to break down in the game.
Players need to wield weapons that hit quick and hard to even stand a chance of beating this hunter down. He's quick, strong, and ruthless, and players who aren't ready to tackle this onslaught will find themselves facing a game over more often than not.
6 Yurie, The Last Scholar
After entering Byrgenwerth, fans may be saddened to see that the area isn't as expansive or interesting as the other locations in Bloodborne. However, the place is still full to the brim with tough combat encounters, including a hunter that can one-shot the player with A Call Beyond.
Yurie guards the doorway to Master Willem and Rom and is no slouch. The hunter seems pretty easy to manage initially, but fans will be singing a different tune when he casts A Call Beyond to bring a world of hurt on the player.
5 Djura & His Ally
Djura is a pretty interesting hunter that can be befriended if players accomplish certain tasks before encountering him in Old Yharnam. However, most players won't know that and will happily climb the ladder to fight him... Only to die an embarrassing death because of how strong he is.
The fight against his friend is also pretty hard because of Djura''s gatling gun, but that doesn't even hold a candle to the main event. It's easy to see why so many strategies recommend that players cheese the fight and make him fall off the tower instead.
4 Brador
The Old Hunters DLC is one of the best video game expansion packs of all time, featuring a whole new set of areas coupled with some of the hardest encounters and bosses in Bloodborne. The DLC has players tacking several new and unique hunters, including an infamous one called Brador.
He appears four times in the game if players don't kill him beforehand, with his Bloodletter doing a crazy amount of damage. Players need to be wary while fighting this foe, especially since his weapon is pretty dangerous and can decimate crazy amounts of HP if the attacks land in quick succession.
3 The Gatling Gun Hunter
Another hunter who appears in the cave of the Blood-Starved Beast in the Hunter's Nightmare is the Gatling Gun hunter. The simple act of trying to close the distance can prove to be astronomically hard, with the barrage of the Gatling Gun hitting for serious damage indeed.
Players need to be very patient and bide their time before finding an opening to land some quick hits before running back to cover. The fact that this fight is harder than the DLC's Blood-Starved Beast itself is proof enough of just how dreaded the Gatling Gun hunter really is!
2 The Three-Hunter Gank Squad Of Yahar'gul
It would be impossible to make a list talking about the various hunter fights in Bloodborne without mentioning one of the hardest battles in the game that has the odds pitted against the player in a truly astronomical fashion. Having to deal with one hunter in Bloodborne is bad enough as is, but this particular fight forces the player to tackle three hunters at once, which is not an appealing prospect in the slightest.
Players need to either bait these hunters one at a time or trust in their skills and have a fast weapon to quickly deal damage and dodge before any attack ends up coming their way. This fight is extremely hard and considered to be unfair by many, but it's definitely possible to win as long as players are diligent about their movements and don't end up getting too greedy while landing hits.
1 The Bloody Crow Of Cainhurst
Of course, it was only a matter of time before the hardest hunter fight in Bloodborne would rear its ugly feathered head. The Bloody Crow of Cainhurst is a legendary hunter battle, with even Eileen the Crow being unable to withstand his relentless onslaught. So, the player must take over her place instead.
The fight is anything but easy, with the hunter's bullets hitting for a ton of damage while his Chikage is pretty threatening as well. If that wasn't bad enough as is, then the Bloody Crow can also heal in the middle of battle, which makes this tough fight even longer and more grueling!
