Some games in the series don’t need much more effort to finish everything within them, but some take a vast amount of extra time to see everything.

Continuing the adventures of Ezio Auditore, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood has Ezio form a united Brotherhood as he takes the fight to the dangerous Borgia family. The game is usually regarded as one of the best Assassin’s Creed games, but it also harbors some great difficulties when it comes to getting 100% completion.

Some examples of this include Multiplayer-specific missions like Overachiever, which requires players to score 750 points or more on a single-kill in Multiplayer. This causes some issues, considering the Multiplayer mode is quite competitive, and now inactive. Even in the campaign, there are some difficulties, such as Serial Killer, which required an Execution Streak of 10 kills.

The final chapter in the Desmond Miles portion of the franchise, Assassin’s Creed 3 has retrospectively been praised as one of the best entries to date. It was also the longest and largest game in the franchise when it was released in 2012, providing a huge open world between Boston, New York, and the American Frontier that is filled with difficult achievements to complete.

Not only is there plenty of upgrading to do within the homestead, including the A Complete Set achievement, which requires all optional characters to be settled there. But other achievements are An Extraordinary Man, which requires completion of the Encyclopedia of the Common Man, and Prince Of Thieves, which needs players to loot a convoy without killing any of the guards.

One of the most modern games in the franchise, Syndicate takes place in London in the middle of the 19th century. The adventures of Jacob and Evie Frye have been considered one of the lesser entries in the series, but there are plenty of amusing achievements that many gamers haven't managed to collect, including Cerevisaphile, which players can only unlock by drinking every beer brand in the city.

The hidden blade has been a staple of Assassin's Creed since the very first game, with each assassin getting their own version of the weapon.

Syndicate features plenty of side content, like street races, and players must finish first in three different street races in order to get the A Quarter-Furlong At A Time trophy. Guardian Angel makes players escort ten friendly cargo shipments, while other hilariously fun achievements require players to kick fifty enemies off of trains.

Black Flag was the direct sequel to Assassin’s Creed 3, and despite changing much of the style in this entry, there was just as much to try and unlock with the trophies. Sea Legs and King Of The Castle require players to complete all naval contracts and capture all forts respectively.

Black Flag was a huge shift in the level of freedom that players had. Not only could they explore Havana, Kingston, and Nassau, but there was also a Sea of Thieves-style water traveling system that forced players to fully upgrade their ship and defeat all the legendary ships to get trophies such as Devil Of The Caribbean.

Unity was a game that almost brought the Assassin’s Creed franchise to ruin with a truly disastrous release which made the game very difficult to play. But it was fixed with updates and is much more well-regarded by fans now, particularly by those who have gone through all the difficulty of unlocking every trophy in the game.

I Want It All requires players to complete every single-player mission in Paris and An Old Internet Meme can only be unlocked by renovating every social club. However, Unity comes with plenty of side content as well. Curiosity is unlocked when players open every chest in Paris, a feat that takes a great deal of time and added exploration. While Visited Once needs players to complete every co-op mission in the game, which can be incredibly tricky, especially today.

After Syndicate, Ubisoft decided to revamp the Assassin’s Creed games and three of the four major releases since then have taken on more RPG elements. Words Of Wisdom makes players explore all hermit locations, and I Know My Land needs the entire map defogged before it is achieved.

These are some of the best parkour games involving free running mechanics for exploration.

Being an RPG, Origins has a much longer general runtime than the previous Assassin’s Creed games, but the challenges involved in some of the strange trophies are specific and frustrating to try and get. This includes Overheating, a trophy unlocked by seeing the correct mirage in the desert, something that can take a great deal of time and waiting, and Old Habits, which requires the player to complete every location in the huge game. Of course, some of the trophies are also on the more comedic side, like Set-Up Date, which is unlocked after the player brings a tamed lion to a crocodile, which isn't too difficult but can take players a lot of effort if they don't normally use tamed lions.

After Origins, the Assassin’s Creed team decided they could go even bigger, and Odyssey was their next release. Set in Ancient Greece, the game features a mythological interpretation of a war between Athens and Sparta in huge detail. This includes unlocking trophies like Child Of Poseidon, which makes players unlock all underwater locations, and Hermes's Homie, for which players must reveal all sub-regions of Greece.

An odd game in terms of the story, but beautifully told and with a huge open world, Ubisoft expanded with Odyssey upon the nature of an open-world RPG and used games like Skyrim and The Witcher 3 as a template for the mass volume of content that could be added. This includes some crazy trophies, like Infamous, which is unlocked when players get their bounty to the maximum level, which obviously takes a great deal of added effort and can make moving around difficult. It also includes Island Hopper, which forces players to complete a lot of extra quests on some of the most remote islands in the game, which is a lot of grinding work beyond the normal gameplay to get.

The longest Assassin’s Creed game to date, and possibly the hardest 100% that will ever exist in the franchise, is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Featuring a vast amount of content, even simple achievements like Disorder Of The Ancients, which makes players take out every target of the Order of the Ancients, can take a huge amount of time and work.

Set in the 9th century during the Viking invasion of Britain, Valhalla gives players an almost unimaginable scope of freedom but does bog them down with a vast array of various trophies to unlock. This means that trying to 100% complete the game is one of the more brutal tasks a gamer can take on today. From Old School Treasure Hunt, which is unlocked by collecting five treasure hoard rewards, to Skadi's Hobby, which makes players slide 150 meters in the snow at once, a tricky job that requires a lot of trying and testing before players can succeed. From the lengthy to the challenging, Valhalla is the complete package if players are looking for a new project to try and 100%.
