Halo Infinite, the long-awaited addition to the Halo series, has finally arrived, and with its release comes a load of features that are new to the franchise. Halo Infinite introduces the first open-world map in Halo's 20-year run. Traversal, exploration, and varied combat are all more prominent in Halo Infinite than in any previous title in the series.
Aside from the newly introduced lore, Halo Infinite and its open-world also bring changes to the series' linear gameplay. Halo Infinite is filled with powerful equipment upgrades, collectibles, hidden easter eggs, challenging boss battles, and many other side objectives.
Among these side objectives are High-Value Targets. These are Banished soldiers that have long histories with the UNSC making them a huge threat to Master Chief and his mission on Zeta Halo. Taking out the High-Value Targets will grant the Master Chief a good amount of Valor and access to each HVT's unique weapon for requisition at any Forward Operating Base.
Okro 'Vagaduun
Okro 'Vagaduun is likely the first High-Value Target that players will encounter on Zeta Halo. Okro is an Elite that wields a unique energy sword. After killing him, players will gain access to the Duelist Energy Sword which will allow them to move quickly and grant increased jump height.
Okro 'Vagaduun can be found on the southwest coast of the 1st Island. Players can easily travel south from FOB Foxtrot to find this HVT.
Briglard
Briglard is a Grunt that can often be found surrounded by a group of lower-tiered Grunts. He will drop an Unbound Plasma Pistol upon defeat. This plasma pistol will fire several rounds when fully charged instead of the normal single shot from standard plasma pistols.
Briglard can be found at the north side of Island 1 near the bridge that connects it to the 2nd Island. Briglard and his Grunt companions are one of the easier HVTs in Infinite.
Ik 'Novus
Ik 'Novus is one of the Banished Brute Chieftans. Going by "Ik 'Novus the Devourer," this HVT can be difficult to defeat in the early game. Ik' Novus wields the Volatile Skewer, which shoots spikes dealing explosive damage. The Skewer is already one of the best weapons in Halo Infinite, and the explosive damage only makes it more destructive to enemy vehicles.
Ik 'Novus can be found just west of the bridge connecting Islands 1 and 2. Players can travel from FOB Echo for quick access to this HVT.
Balkarus
Balkarus is a High-Value Brute Target that wields the Riven Mangler. Instead of firing a single projectile, this mangler will fire three, making it a devastating weapon if used with great accuracy.
Players will find Balkarus by traveling north from the Forge of Teash, where he will be in a field surrounded by lackeys.
Thav 'Sebarim
Thav 'Sebarim is an Elite Banished soldier and will be found roaming the area in a vehicle. Thav's unique weapon is the Arcane Sentinel Beam, which will do a bit more damage than its standard counterpart.
Thav 'Sebarim can be found on Island 2, just south of FOB Bravo. Thav 'Sebarim will be found in a vehicle, which players can exploit using their grapple hook for an easy takedown.
Bipbap
Bipbap is a Grunt High-Value Target. Bipbap's unique weapon, the Calcine Disruptor, will do increased damage and can be used by players after he is defeated.
Bipbap can be found by traveling north from the Excavation Site. Bipbap is another easy HVT though the surrounding enemies can sometimes cause players issues. Snipers are stationed in the surrounding area, so players should be sure to take them out first as all enemies must be killed to clear the HVT.
Inka 'Saham
Inka 'Saham is one of the more difficult HVTs to travel to as there are not many fast travel points in the area. Inka's unique weapon is the Rapidfire Pulse Carbine. This carbine will shoot much faster than other variants of the weapon.
Inka can be found to the far north of Island 2 on the small island's northern edge. Traveling from Outpost Tremonius will be the quickest way to get to Inka, though players will still need to traverse the mountainous area to get to him.
Arthoc
Arthoc can be found on Island 4 and will be using the Ravager Rebound. This weapon will shoot projectiles that will bounce off of surfaces, unlike the standard ravager weapon.
Arthoc can be found on Island 4 just to the west of FOB November. Arthoc has a scattered squad, so players should remember that all enemies in the area must be eliminated to mark the HVT off their list.
Zeretus
Zeretus is a Brute Banished soldier that has one of the best unique weapons in the campaign. Zeretus' M41 Tracker is a rocket launcher with tracking capabilities. This weapon is great to use against enemy vehicles but can make Zeretus difficult to take on.
Zeretus is found to the north of Arthoc's location on Island 4. Traveling northwest of FOB November should put players near his location. Players should be careful approaching him while in a vehicle as his unique weapon is powerful, especially on higher difficulties.
Barroth
The Jackal, Barroth, is a skilled sniper that uses the Stalker Rifle Ultra. Barroth's unique weapon has a higher ammo capacity than the normal version of the stalker rifle and will also overheat less frequently.
Barroth can be found southeast of Riven Gate on the map. Going into the fight with Barroth from above, using a flying vehicle like a Banshee or a Wasp, can make the fight much easier and gives players the upper hand.
